N.C. anon here. We just got great news today when a (D) switched to (R), giving N.C. Republicans a veto-proof majority.
Let me tell y'all something about N.C. North Carolina isRED. Governor Cooper did NOT defeat Pat McCrory in 2016. There were "shenanigans". Naturally, the search engines cannot really find the news stories about this, but there were some very questionable ballots that showed up (in Cooper's favor of course) in Durham, NC. Here's a Wiki excerpt:
On election night, the race was too close to call, with Cooper leading by fewer than 5,000 votes out of more than 4.6 million cast.[4] That lead eventually widened to 10,281 votes. Cooper claimed victory that night, with thousands of provisional ballots still yet to be counted, saying, "We have won this race." However, McCrory refused to concede, claiming that the race was still too close to call and the winner had not yet been determined. He cast doubt on the authenticity of 90,000 late-arriving votes from Durham County, which put Cooper in the lead.[5] McCrory's campaign filed complaints alleging voter fraud in over 50 counties.[6] Both campaigns anticipated a protracted legal battle over the results.[7]

Just like in 2016, Trump carried N.C. Bigly. It makes me believe for sure that the 2020 N.C. elections weren't on the up and up either because the Senate race was supposedly "too close to call". With that said, it seems TPTB moved on to focus on Georgia and let the N.C. Senate election go. I believe this could be due to Governor Cooper winning AGAIN, despite Trump and most every Republican in the state winning by comfy margins. They didn't want to get too much focus on N.C.
