Our two biggest geopolitical rivals are Russia & China. If Russia is tied down in a war it necessarily weakesn them...if China is brought into the fray, it keeps them distracted from Taiwan. Because of the preponderance of chip manufacturing that happens in Taiwan, we can't let Taiwan fall. Sooooo....we use Ukraine as a proxy fighter supplied with our aging equipment and we're saving the next gen shit for the Taiwan straight (again...just thoughts...speculation....putting it out there...mebbe i'm right mebbe i'm close...mebbe completely and entirely wrong).
