Thrift Savings Plans funds were tracked by following Vanguard until BlackRock moved in.

There is no good equivalent for tracking the G Fund. Many people just use the Vanguard Prime Money Market(VMMXX) [10] to simulate the lack of volatility, and adjust the balance upwards every few months to match their G Fund balance.

Vanguard no longer has a fund that tracks the MSCI EAFE index. The Blackrock iShares EFA ETF tracks the MSCI EAFE index.

The Military has 3 different "retirement" systems. One allows member to invest matching funds into Thrift Savings Plan…with really unknown management mechanisms.

Some Military members and gov't employees invest in Vanguard directly. We really don't know who runs the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS)

Regardless, these huge chunks of investment capital are being managed to achieve growth and drive the future. "Invest here." " Push that agenda…"

But by who?
