Massachusetts Air National Guardsman at center of âdigileaksâ scandal revealed as Jack Teixeira
Samuel Chamberlain and
(Utter Bullshit and Set Up, as Kash said)
The head of a Discord group where a trove of sensitive US intelligence documents were posted online has been identified as a MassachusettsAir National Guardsman named Jack Teixeira, according to a new report.
The New York Times first reported Teixeiraâs identity Thursday, adding that investigators want to talk to the 21-year-old about the leak and say that he may have information relevant to the investigation.
Separately, the Wall Street Journal reportedthat an arrest in the case could happen as soon as Thursday.
The outlet also reported that ==Teixeira was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolinaâ˘=.
Federal investigators have yet to identify Teixeira, or anyone else, as a suspect in the case.
The fast-moving developments followed a report by the Washington Post late Wednesday that the classified files had been shared to a Discord channel called âThug Shaker Central,â made up of two dozen online pals who regularly discussed guns, video games and racist memes.
The outlet reported Thursday that Teixeira was known to channel members by the handle âjackthedripper.â
The Times also reported that details of the interior of Teixeiraâs childhood home from pictures posted to social media appear to match items identified in the background of some of the photographed secret documents.
Images of the classified documents reviewed by The Post indicate they are copies of briefing slides that were photographed while laid out on a desk or table before being shared online.
In at least two photographs, a brochure with apparent information about a rifle scope can be seen. A package of Gorilla Glue was also spotted in another photograph.
The classified documents were first posted in the groupâs Discordchat last year, according to some members. (The incompetence of the FBI and Military Intelligence is mind blowing if they with all the AI they have scanning the web and especially Discord never found them since last year???This is what tells you this whole thing is a fucking lie due the incompetence of the Pentagon!)
On Feb. 28, another member then reposted the documents to another Discord channel linked to YouTuber âwow_mao.â
A member of that channel in turn posted some of them on March 4 to the even larger channel âMinecraft Earth Map.â
After spreading like wildfire through the internet, documents tied to the Ukraine war started turning up on Russian Telegram channels last week â sparking a federal investiation into how the materials were leaked and by who.
On Thursday morning, President Biden told reporters in Ireland that federal investigators were âcloseâ to uncovering the leakerâs identity.
Members of Thug Shaker Central told the Times that the person who leaked the materials to their chat was their undisputed leader and often referred to as the âOGâ, though they declined to identify him by name.
At least one of the members said the leaker had access to the intelligence materials through his work. (Seriously a military personnel with TS clearance is stupid enough to leak TS docs on Discord? No possible way!)
Several of them, however, insisted thatthe leaker wasnât a whistleblowerand had never meant for the documents to be shared anywhere other than their online chat.
âThis guy was a Christian, anti-war, just wanted to inform some of his friends about whatâs going on,â one member told the paper. âWe havesome people in our group who are in Ukraine. We like fighting games, we like war games.â (Even this sounds like terrible bullshit!)
(NYP and other post this guys picture, name and location when fed investigators have not identified anyone! Lawsuit coming)

NYTs gets this guy arrested
Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira arrested in US intel leaks
By Ben Kesslen
April 13, 2023 2:32pm Updated
Massachusetts Air National GuardsmanJack Teixeira was arrested at his home Thursdayafter being implicated in the leak of dozens of sensitive US intelligence documents â the biggest national security breach in at least 10 years.
Law enforcement officers swarmedthe home in North Dighton, Mass. about 20 miles east of Providence, RI hours after the New York Times reported that investigators wanted to speak with Teixeira, who was reportedly stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
The classified pages were disseminated after being posted on a Discord channel linked to YouTuber âwow_maoâ and quickly spread when a member of that channel posted some of them to a bigger channel called âMinecraft Earth Map.â
Sensitive information relating to the war in Ukraine, Israel and South Korea was leaked, sparking international concern.
White House spokesman John Kirby said Monday that the documents, which seem to indicate the US is surveilling its close allies, are âdoctored.â
âWithout confirming the validity of the documents, this is information that has no business in the public domain. It has no business, if you donât mind me saying, on the pages of â the front pages of newspapers or on television,â he said.â It is not intended for public consumption, and it should not be out there.â
The files had initially been shared last year on a discord channel Teixeira appeared to run called âThug Shaker Central,â made up of two dozen people who regularly discussed guns, video games and racist memes.
The Washington Post reported that Teixeira was known to channel members by the handle âjackthedripper.â
One member of the original channel told the New York Times the leaker âwas a Christian, anti-war, just wanted to inform some of his friends about whatâs going on,â and had access to the documents through work. âWe have some people in our group who are in Ukraine. We like fighting games, we like war games.â

Arrest made in San Francisco murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee
Ben Kesslen and
Afellow tech workerwas arrested Thursday in the slaying of Cash App founder Bob Lee on the streets of San Francisco, according to local reports.
The dad of two, 43, was stabbed just after 2:30 a.m. April 4 in the ritzy neighborhood of Rincon Hill and Lee allegedly knew his killer, Mission Local reported.
The suspect is said to have been driving through the city with Lee when they had some kind of confrontation, which resulted in the tech mogul exiting the vehicle, according to Mission Localâs sources.
Their altercation continued and Lee was fatally stabbed by the suspect on a quiet street, according to the outlet, citing police sources. The knife used was also reportedly recovered from the scene, which was close to the hotel where Lee was staying.
The motive for the apparent murder is unknown and The Post has reached out to San Francisco police for further information.
Tragic security video â which has not been publicly released â shows thedying entrepreneur walking up to a carwith its hazards flashing and lifting his shirt to the driver to show he was severely injured.
The car drove off without helping and Leecollapsed to the ground in the footage, according to various local outlets who had viewed the video.
It is not clear if the red car Lee approached in the video was the one driven by the suspect, or another passing vehicle.
Lee, who has two young daughters, called 911 himself, telling them heâd been stabbed and needed help. By the time cops arrived, he was unconscious and later succumbed to his injuries from the slashing at the hospital.
A friend of Lee said the tech mogul, who had most recentlyworked for cryptocurrency startup MobileCoin, recently moved to Miami because he felt San Francisco was âdeteriorating.â
âHe was in the âgoodâ part of the city and appeared to have been targeted in a random mugging/attack,â his friend, mixed martial arts champion Jake Shields, tweeted shortly after the murder.
However, police were hesitant to give a description of any suspect or details of their investigation following the slaying.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed told ABC News of the case this week< âWhen some of the facts ⌠come out, people are going to be surprised,â while also cautioning against âpeople jumping to conclusionsâ in cases such as this, because the city has many high-crime areas.
Rick Lee penned a heartbreaking tribute to his son on Facebook Wednesday, calling him his âbest friend.â
âBob would give you the shirt off his back,â the grieving dad wrote. âHe would never look down on anyone and adhered to a strict no-judgment philosophy.â

Trump raises fist before deposition, calls NY AG Letitia Jamesâ lawsuit âridiculousâ
By Jesse OâNeill and Priscilla DeGregory
April 13, 2023 11:21am Updated
Former PresidentDonald Trump repeated his claim that Albanyâs top prosecutor is âracistâ â and that her lawsuit against him is âridiculousâ â before being deposed in connection with a $250 million civil case Thursday morning.
=Trump, 76, was back in Manhattan eight days after being charged with 34 felonies to testify in connection with accusations that he and three of his children overvalued his assets by billions of dollars to get favorable loans. (Remember every NYP article mentions his age except Miranda Devine, and maybe other Trump supporters there.)
The current Republican contender for president took to Truth Social to issue a bitter attack on New York Attorney General Letitia James hours before his expected deposition.
âI will be heading downtown to meet with a Racist who leaked that I would be there at 9:30 A.M.,â Trump wrote. âThe leak makes it much more difficult for the Police and Secret Service to do their job. This civil case is ridiculous, just like all of the other Election Interference cases being brought against me. If I had a fair judge, this case would have never happened. MAGA!â (This is big freakin deal leaking this info!)
Jamesâ office declined to issue a comment on Trumpâs missive. It had not been previously reported what specific time Trump was expected to be deposed.
Trump had already sat for a deposition in the civil case last year, taking the Fifth Amendment hundreds of times. A statement from his lawyer indicated Trump was set to use a different tactic this time.
âPresident Trump is not only willing but also eager to testify before the Attorney General today. He remains resolute in his stance that he has nothing to conceal, andhe looks forward to educating the Attorney Generalabout the immense success of his multi-billion dollar company,â Alina Habba said.
Last year, Trump was held in contempt of court and fined $10,000 a day by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron for failing to turn over documents in the case.
The Trump Organization was fined $1.6 million for tax fraud in Manhattan earlier this year, in a case that did not personally implicate the former president. Former chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg was sentenced to five months on Rikers Island in connection with the case.
Trump was photographed raising his fist as he left his Manhattan apartment Thursday morning to testify under oath, using asign of defiance heavily associated with black power movements. (WTF???)
The candidate is under multiple other federal and local criminal cases tied to his alleged efforts to interfere with the 2020 election and hoard classified documents.
The Constitution would not bar Trump from running for president even if he were convicted and sentenced to prison, and the embattled candidate said earlier this week he had no plans to abandon his third consecutive bid for the White House.

This guy will down in the trash pile of history! And hopefully prosecuted with the rest of the traitors
That law encompasses a lot in the current and prior admin, Milley and Esper are on the list
BTW it came out with Julie Kelly on Bannon this am,people under Chris Miller at DOD were involved in planning the J6 hoax. Neither Miller or Kash knew
Yes finally he gets his karma! Or is he going to Gitmo with others in the Senate
Its a set up by NYTs and WAPO at the behest of the Pentagon
Please donât, pray for the victim
Yes, when one goes into a scif, no phones, no nothing, must be left outside to be let in. They really think the country is that stupid to believe this nonsense. Howâd he take pictures or write notes, he didnât
I remember that, so was IT arrested for leaving it open.
The story is utter bullshit, the most incompetent DOD and Pentagon, its sickening
Think about this, supposedly released on Discord last year but all the AI that NSA, FBi and DOD use to scan the web misses docs on Discord for months. This itself is ridiculous. They can find a person in AK that supposedly went to J6 but they canât find the release of TS documents for 3-5 months. This whole story just makes Americans believe they cant protect the country.
NSA picks up everything
They know who leaked it. The SC wonât release the name of the Justice that did it
Are you saying the guy was nog killed or it was a fellow tech worker? Kash said it was some guy dragging a bag after him after he killed him. Almost every story coming out now is perverse psyops
Hmm interesting
Ok thats been around from the start of the war, propaganda. Too bad heâs bad ass and he will defeat it, if it exists. He thinks of cancer as Ukraine so heâs killing it with his mind. Even if he had it.

Chinese âcarrier killerâ missile worries US â WaPo
The Pentagon leaks have revealed Washingtonâs concerns over a hypersonic-capable weapon
A new Chinese missile may be able to reach the Pacific island of Guam, making it more difficult for US forces based there to intervene on behalf of Taiwan, a Washington Post columnist claimed on Thursday. The article cited an âoverlookedâ revelation in one of the classified documents leaked from the Pentagon. (WAPO is pathetic)
âChina is quickly improving its capacity to strike thousands of miles from its shores and prevent the United States from intervening,â wrote Josh Rogin, citing the conclusions of US intelligence agencies.
The document Rogin is referring to is a report by the Joint Chiefs of Staff intelligence directorate, marked top secret and dated February 28. It briefs the generals on the February 25 test of the new âhypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile,â dubbed DF-17 (Dongfeng, âEast Windâ).
The briefing says that DF-17 has a âhigh probability of penetratingâ US missile defenses and is designed to reach targets beyond the Second Island Chain, a Pentagon term for a line in the Pacific stretching from Japan to New Guinea.
The test involved the missile traveling a distance of 2,100 kilometers (1,305 miles) over 12 minutes, but a 2021 Pentagon assessment believes DF-17 may have a range of up to 8,000 kilometers (4,970 miles). The new missile also has âhypersonic glideâ capability, making it a better âcarrier killerâ than its predecessors, Rogin noted.
âIf American ships can be held at bay and US forces in Asia can be targeted at will, any allied intervention in Taiwanâs defense would be more difficult and costly,â Rogin wrote. (Oh this article is US is signaling to China the are backing down)
The self-described âneoliberalâ columnist and CNN political analyst argued that âpeace in Asia depends on maintaining the ==credibility of the United States-led deterrent=.â The US and its allies, Rogin wrote, need to âshift resources to nullify the new threat and shore up their ability to protect their assets.â How exactly that might be achieved, however, he did not say.
The US government has not officially confirmed the authenticity of the leaked documents, and has launched a manhunt for their source. Most of the initially released files dealt with the Ukraine conflict, while subsequent revelations expanded their scope. Israeli and South Korean officials have already denounced some of the claims in the documents as false.

Musk pushes Twitter into finance
The social networkâs new partnership with an online brokerage will allow stock and crypto trading
Twitter has partnered with trading andinvesting platform eToroto offer platform users access to real-time prices for cryptocurrencies, stocks and other assets, and to enable the trading of those instruments.
According to eToroâs statement on Thursday, the trading data will be available through Twitter's cashtags feature, which was rolled out in 2012, allowing users to interact with content around an asset by inserting a dollar sign in front of the ticker.
With the eToro partnership, Twitter cashtags will be expanded to cover far more instruments and asset classes, an eToro spokesperson reportedly told CNBC.
Twitter users will also be able to click a button that says âview on eToro,â to get information about the asset and decide whether to invest.
âAs weâve grown over the past three years immensely, weâve seen more and more of our users interact on Twitter [and] educate themselves about the markets,â eToroâs Chief Executive, Yoni Assia, said in an interview with CNBC.
âThere is very high-quality content, real-time content on financial analysis of companies and whatâs happening around the world. We believe this partnership will enable us to reach those new audiences [and] connect better the brands of Twitter and eToro,â the CEO said.
Elon Musk, who acquired Twitter for $44 billion last year and brought a range of changes to the company, is aiming to turn the microblogging platform into a so-called âsuper appâ that would offer users various services such as instant messaging, banking and travel.

New York mayor appoints ârat czarâ
Mayor Eric Adamsâ rodent crackdown comes after rat sightings doubled under his watch
New York City Mayor Eric Adams has named the Big Appleâs first ever ârat czar.â The mayor has long promised to bring down the cityâs booming rat population, but their numbers have swelled under his tenure.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Adams namedKathleen Corradi as the cityâs new âDirector of Rodent Mitigationâ, or ârat czar.â According to a press release from the mayorâs office, Corradi will serve as the public face of Adamsâ rodent reduction efforts, and will liaise between New Yorkâs existing rat experts in the departments of Sanitation, Health, and Parks and Recreation.
Calling Corradi a âmaestro,â Adams claimed that his newratcatcher-generalwill implement ânew technologies to detect and exterminate rat populationsâ and try âinnovative ways to cut off ratsâ food sources.â
New Yorkâs rat population has soared under Adamsâ tenure, withsightings doublingbetween 2021 and 2022. While Adamsâ office has blamed the increase on the fact that more inspections took place last year than the year before, hisopponents say that cutbacks to garbage collectionduring the coronavirus pandemic triggered the population boom.
Adams has since limited the amount of time trash cans can sit on the sidewalk without being picked up, and on Wednesday announced the creation of a âHarlem Rat Exclusion Zoneâ in which buildings will be rat-proofed and more traps laid down.
Despite the fanfare, Corradi wonât actually be wading into rodent dens or leading hungry terriers into infested basements. The new czar has abackground in teaching, rather than pest control, and previously served as a planning director for the cityâs department of education in the borough of Queens. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, she said that she favored âhumaneâ methods of rat controland would bring âa science- and systems-based approach to fight rats.â (Too bad they donât treat humans with humane conditions!)
New York City is home to an estimated two million rats, according to a 2014 study. Previous administrations have attempted to solve the problem with limited success, and Corradiâs title is a nod to the ârat czarânickname given to Deputy Mayor Joseph Lhota, who was appointed by Rudy Giuliani to âeradicate ratsâ in 2000.
For all of Adamsâ talk,he hasnât been able to fix a rat infestation in his own backyard. After themayor was fined at least four timesby the city for failing to control the creatures in his Brooklyn apartment, his political rival Curtis Sliwa publicly offered to lend Adams one of his cats earlier this year.
âHeâs tried everything,â Sliwa said. âBut itâs time that we revert to the best measure thatâs ever worked. And thatâs cats.â (Yes add cats that get rabies, that should work!)

EU will return frozen Russian reserves â Welt
The German media outlet, citing an internal document, claims that bloc officials know they canât keep the money, or divert it to Ukraine
The European Commission has concluded that itwill almost certainly have to eventually hand back frozen Russian central bank reserves, Die Welt reported on Thursday.
The German newspaper, citing anunpublished internal document, suggests that this may happen when the conflict with Ukraine ends. Kiev has called for the funds to be used for its post-war reconstruction.
According to the article, while top EU officials, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, have publicly supported the idea of giving the money to Ukraine, this would prove difficult to implement in practice and is likely âdoomed to failâ for a number of reasons.
For example, the frozen reserves of the Russian central bank, which are believed tototal âŹ300 billion, are spread throughout Europe and deposited in numerous accounts, often withno direct link to Moscow, Die Welt explained, citing anonymous âinsiders familiar with the EU's plans.â
As a result, Brussels has no clear idea of where exactly all that money is, the newspaper said.
Even if officials succeed in locating the funds, there will still be a huge question about whether the bloc can legally appropriate the money and use it as it sees fit.
According to the internal document seen by Die Welt, the European Commission came to the âsobering conclusionâ that the frozen reserves âmust not be touched because one day, when the war is over, they will have to be returned to Russia.â
Officials in Brussels, however, have reportedly been trying to figure out ways around the hurdles. One idea would be for them to invest the funds and transfer at least the interest accrued on them to Ukraine. The outlet claimed that if invested in European government bonds, the Russian central bank reserves could yield up to 2.6% interest per annum.
Such an "extraordinary measure" could potentially be legally feasible, the outlet said, citing the commission. However, there is still a âvery lowâ risk with such a plan may result in losses and therefore see the money effectively gambled away.
Regarding the assets of Russian oligarchs in the EU, Die Welt said that the Commission believes some of those individuals have so far managed to slip under the authoritiesâ radar, with some member states apparently lacking the zeal to go after them.
Even if all the assets were found and frozen, they could not be confiscated, the paper noted, explaining that this couldonly happenif it was proved thebillionaires had actually committed a crimeâ a legal effort which could take years in each case.
The EU froze Russiaâs central bank reserves soon after President Vladimir Putin sent his troops into Ukraine late last February. Moscow has condemned Brusselsâ actions as theft.

This is why many countries want to eliminate the dollar, if they can steal the money, there is no trust.

CIA director concedes US power is waning
Bill Burns says Washingtonâs position as the âbig kid on the geopolitical blockâ isnât guaranteed
The dominant global role of the US can no longer be guaranteed as the country is witnessing a time of change âthat comes along a couple of times a century,â CIA Director Bill Burns has claimed.
Speaking at the Baker Institute earlier this week, Burns said that although Washington âstill has a better hand to play than any of our rivals,â it is âno longer the only big kid on the geopolitical block and our position at the head of the table isnât guaranteed.â
The CIA chief pointed to growing ties between China and Russia, which he argued will present a âformidable challengeâ for his agency for years to come. According to Burns,Beijingis ânot content to only have a seat at the table;it wants to run the table,â whileRussiais seeking to âupend the table altogether.â
Burns, who served as the US ambassador to Moscow under George W. Bush, condemned Russiaâs military operation in Ukraine, calling it an act of âbrutish aggression.â
He claimed the CIA has provided âgood intelligenceâ that has âhelped the Ukrainians defend themselvesâ and cemented âa strong coalition in support of Ukraine.â
Burns added that Kievâs long-anticipated spring offensive would feature âstrong material and intelligence support from the US and our allies.â
The spy chief claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ânot serious about negotiationsâ on a peaceful resolution to the conflict, and suggested that only Ukrainian progress on the battlefield was âlikely to shape prospects for diplomacy.â
Russia has repeatedly stated that it is open to peace talks and has blamed Kiev and its Western allies for blocking negotiations. Ukraine has placed a legal ban on any talks with Russia as it seeks to defeat its opponent on the battlefield.
Regarding China, Burns insisted that Beijing remains the CIAâs âbiggest long-term priority.âHe noted that in the last few years, the intelligence agency has doubled the resources it focuses on China, including hiring and training Mandarin speakers and stepping up efforts to compete with Beijing on the world stage.
âManaging a crucial and increasingly adversarial relationship with China will be the most significant test for American policy makers for decades to come,â the US official said, arguing that the risk of a conflict over Taiwan will continue to grow.
