We received no entitlements, you obviously didn’t understand our parents or grandparents generation. They went through the depression. My greek immigrant grandfather ina small apartment and small bit of land, grew vegetables and raised chickens and collected eggs and went around to all neighbors in downtown New London and gave food to everyone he could. When he got hid farm he did the same. When he opened his diner he’d invite the children in for free breakfast because he knew they had no food at home. He and my Grandmother cared for the lives of many people. There children, our parents were the first to volunteer in the military, our parents had great abilities and could have gone for advanced degrees but they raised large families. And our parents taught us responsibilities as little children. Our generation worked hard (we weren’t rich or even close to it), all if us when we turned 16 got a job, and the ones that understood the generations, did the best we could to honor prior generations that sacrificed for us!
