Anyone else see that bright ass star in the sky facing west?

Past two days I keep seeing a streak in the sky in the same spot right before dusk like a comet tail just like that movie ‘Don’t Look Up’
Do you think if it is a comet the gov could keep everyone hush about it for that long?
Where was this and when?
You think government would actually tell us if there were a giant comet headed our way?
