Air Force Academy Cadets Don’t Know What Their Oath to the Constitution Means

Catherine Salgado8:31 PM on April 14, 2023

U.S. Air Force Academy cadets reportedly don’t understand what the oath they take to uphold the Constitution even means. Apparently, the U.S. military is so busy implementing pro-LGBTQ initiatives and critical race theory programs that it forgot to teach cadets what their job is as American servicemen and women.

The Daily Caller reported on April 12:

The Air Force Academy rolled out a new program aimed at reducing perceptions of politicization in the military… Cadets at the academy said they did not understand what their oath to uphold the Constitution actually meant… Administrators and a cadet at the Air Force Academy think a new program focused on informing cadets what the oath to uphold the Constitution means for members of the military will help combat trends in politicization and partisanship among military officials.

It might be too little too late to restore Americans’ faith in a military headed by our senile commander-in-chief Joe Biden, Gen. Mark “Wreck-It Ralph” Milley, and the ever-incompetent Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. Daily Caller again:

The project aims to instill a “democracy ethos” in emerging Air Force officers as politicization and partisanship in the active duty force and among veterans has colored Americans’ view of the military.

Let’s hope the program’s concept of democracy isn’t similar to that of the anti-constitutional and very woke Democrats, who never stop blathering about “democracy.” And maybe the Academy could mention that America has always been a republic, not a democracy.

MRCTV’s Nick Kangadis noted that a graduating Air Force Academy senior said, “We took the oath of office on our first day at [the Academy], but no one explained it to us.” I bet “white rage” and systemic racism and sexism were explained, though.

Of course, a lack of understanding of the Constitution because of bad or insufficient education on the topic isn’t, unfortunately, limited to the Air Force Academy. Many if not most conservatives absolutely believe in unconstitutional programs like Medicare nowadays. The point is that, whether leftist or conservative, the overwhelming majority of Americans pick and choose which parts of the Constitution they believe in following — most without even knowing that’s what they’re doing.

America has the greatest Constitution in history, and a significant part of our problems in this nation today comes from the government not abiding by the Constitution. It’s high time for the Air Force Academy and schools and families around the nation to study and understand the document upon which our Republic is founded.

Democrats' Corporate Media Smear Machine Kicks Into High Gear Against RFK Jr.

Ben Bartee6:15 PM on April 14, 2023

The Democrat Party has a serious RFK Jr. problem on its hands. The party is going to attempt to remedy its problem in very predictable ways by tapping into its notably short playbook.

The son of former senator Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former president John F. Kennedy (both assassinated) recently polled at 10% in the Democrat primary — despite near-total blacklisting from corporate media and a nonstop smear campaign since the launch of his campaign.

Unable to engage on the substance of RFK’s arguments, the only viable option besides ignoring him — which they would much prefer — is to attack.

So out come the claws.

“Anti-vaccine activist RFK Jr. challenging Biden in 2024,” reads the Associated Press headline.

Literally every corporate media hit piece on RFK since his announcement has included the term “anti-vaxxer” in their analysis. Most include it in their headlines.

If you’ve read one corporate media smear piece, you’ve read them all. No one has ever accused the corporate media of over-imagination, save perhaps for its conspiracy-theorizing about Russian election interference.

Here’s how they generally all go, via Associated Press:

Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an anti-vaccine activist and scion of one of the country’s most famous political families, is running for president.

Kennedy filed a statement of candidacy Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission.

The 69-year-old’s campaign to challenge incumbent President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination is a long shot.

Deep State-run Wikipedia features the smear in the first sentence of its biography: “Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. (born January 17, 1954) is an American environmental lawyer and author known for promoting anti-vaccine propaganda and conspiracy theories.”

“Nothing to see here. Look away! Disinformation!. He’s a crazy man, no one takes him seriously. Please don’t look. He’s very dangerous — to Democracy™, and The Science™, and all of Our Values™ actually.”

How intent the Deep State is on demonizing RFK Jr. only serves as further evidence in my mind that he is a real threat with sincerely-held convictions that he will act on if elected. He won’t be steamrolled by the lobbying and consulting classes.

The corporate media appears to not understand how weakened its position in the public discourse has become in recent years — such that, when it orchestrates attacks on populist figures like RFK Jr., they only serve to increase his popularity, not to decrease it.

I can’t trust a man who is endorsed by the likes of the New York Times and CNN, and my interest is automatically piqued by figures that they attack. It seems that this mode of analysis is embraced by many in the pro-freedom movement.

Does He Have Enough Crayons? Joe Biden Says He’s Writing a Book

Robert Spencer

Old Joe Biden’s trip to Ireland was the occasion for yet another display ofwhat a cruel joke this man is, flaunting his corruption in our faces by bringing his influence-peddling artistic savant son Hunter along and demonstrating again and again that any acquaintance he once had with the English language is becoming more a thing of the past every day. That’s why it was striking when he told a no doubt astonished Irish Parliament that he was working on a book.

Even back in the 1980s and 1990s, when he was as vapid and smug as he is today but a good deal more glib, the prospect of Joe Biden writing a book without the aid of a ghostwriter would have been monkey-riding-a-bicycle territory. But at this late date, the prospect of Joe actually trying to compose a coherent English sentence is as inconceivable as the Democrats dropping all investigations of Donald Trump, apologizing for politicizing the judicial process, and nominating him for president in 2024.

To be sure, Old Joe does claim to be the author of two books, and for the low, low price of just $12.99, you can also get – try to contain your excitement — an electronic edition of the collected speeches of the alleged president. But those speeches, like the books, recall the indelible moment when Harry Reasoner of 60 Minutes asked jazzman Miles Davis about something he had written in his autobiography, only for Davis to tell the astonished journalist that he hadn’t read that part yet. In other words, if you think Joe Biden wrote the books and speeches that bear his name, he has a wonderful and artistically innovative Hunter Biden painting to sell you, now for the bargain-basement price of just $85,000.

Heedless of the improbability of his claim, the garrulous old liar began his revelation that he was working on a book by telling the Oireachtas: “You know, I hadn’t planned on running for President again in 2020. My son, Beau, who had just died of glio- — stage four glioblastoma after coming back from Iraq after a year. He was the attorney general of Delaware. As a matter of fact, he should be the one standing here giving this speech to you.” At least he didn’t claim this time that Beau died in Iraq. Somehow, in Old Joe’s dementia-befogged mind, this praise of Beau Biden was the lead-in for his big book announcement.

Biden continued, shifting the topic entirely: “But, you know, I started to write a book talking about how technology has always changed the world and we were at an inflection point in the world. And the technology was changing so rapidly and things were changing so significantly that it wasn’t so much who led any country, it was the changes that are just happening at — at an incredible speed. Incredible speed.” This could be read as Old Joe saying that he had started working on a book on technological advances but gave up the idea because those advances were taking place just too rapidly for him to keep up with, but one never knows with this guy. He could still have the crayons and finger paints out on his pretend desk in the fake Oval Office, and adds a few words or stick-figure drawings whenever he has a break from his awesome duties as pretend president.

The alleged president may, of course, mean that someone else is working on a book for which he will take the credit, as he has done in the past. If some hapless ghostwriter really is tasked with writing a Biden book about technological progress, it could be about how too much freedom is a bad thing. In his speech, Biden added: “Look what’s happening with artificial intelligence right now. It holds enormous promise and enormous concern.” You know what that means: the ever-benevolent government is going to regulate it so as to ensure that it doesn’t ever say anything that departs from the establishment line. Maybe Old Joe’s book could be entitled Why I’m Allowed to Speak and You’re Not.

An ever better title would be Mr. Magoo Becomes Leader of the Free World. Really, it’s too bad that nothing is much less likely than that Joe Biden is writing a book, because if he actually wrote one, it would give us a glimpse into the workings of his mind. And then the general public might start waking up to the magnitude of what has been done to us.

French state TV pulls report after (whiney) Ukrainian pressure (VIDEO)

Kiev has labeled a video of Russian troops in training by France 24 “a disgrace to journalism”

French state-owned news channel France 24 has removed a video report about Russian troops in training from its website, after it caused outrage among Ukrainian officials.

The clip, entitled “War in Ukraine: Russian forces preparing for battle ahead of counter-offensive,” was reportedly uploaded on france24.com on Thursday. But as of Saturday, it is no longer available, and clicking on the relevant link brings up the message “404 Page not found.”

The one-and-a-half-minute video was shot at a training range in an undisclosed location some 30 kilometers from the front line. It featured images of Russian tanks firing and tackling hurdles, as well as short interviews with the troops, who said that they were proud to protect their country and that they did not fear the expected Ukrainian counteroffensive.

One of the soldiers also praised Russian weaponry over the German-made Leopard 2 main battle tanks, which were recently supplied to Ukraine by the West. “Our tanks are easier to handle, they’re lighter and much of the time they are better than Leopard tanks,” he said.

The clip did not go unnoticed in Kiev, with Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko calling the report about the Russian military “a disgrace to journalism.”

In a message on Twitter on Friday, he warned that visiting “occupied territories” without consent from Kiev was a crime under Ukrainian law, promising that “those who participate in such actions will be held accountable.”

Ukraine’s Ambassador to France, Vadym Omelchenko said on Twitter that the report by France 24 “from the perspective of the occupiers” turned out to be “a bad example of so-called neutral journalism.” He added that the video was removed from the news network’s website.

France 24 has not issued any statement on the situation, merely deleting the video from its website. However, the clip is still available on the channel’s page on the Dailymotion platform.

Pentagon leaks undermine ‘trust’ of US allies – former officials

The scandal may have far-reaching consequences for Washington, experts have told CNBC

The leaking of highly sensitive Pentagon documents has undermined the “trust”between the US and its allies, former intelligence officials claimed to CNBC on Friday.

The incident has already left a major dent in relations with Washington’s partners and they will now be wary of sharing their secrets, according to Bill Lynn, a former US deputy secretary of defense who now serves as CEO of arms company Leonardo DRS.

“It’s hard to trust us with your secrets if we can’t protect them,” Lynn told CNBC. “It’s devastating to our allies to see that kind of information being promulgated.”

The leaked documents had circulated online for some time before drawing the attention of the media and the US government last week. The incident prompted a large-scale investigation which led to the arrest on Thursday of US airman Jack Teixeira, a member of the 102nd Intelligence Wing based in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Marty Martin, a veteran intelligence operative who served with the CIA, the NSA, and the US Army, claimed that the notion that the documents were presumably accessed, printed, and posted on a gaming chat server by a junior airman was particularly damaging to Washington.

“The fact that a 21-year-old kid had access to this kind of material? Our allies are seeing us as sloppy and incompetent,” Martin told the broadcaster. He added that wider intra-agency intelligence sharing was introduced in the aftermath of 9/11, which raised his concerns at the time.

Another executive from the US military-industrial complex, who spoke with CNBC on condition of anonymity, expressed doubts that the suspected leaker was the only culprit behind the scandal. Some of the documents, namely a highly-classified CIA paper, “would never have been disseminated to other agencies, not even within the intelligence community,” he argued. The executive added that it was extremely suspicious that a young airman would have “this sort of access.”

“I’m just not convinced that an ANG base has access to these types of documents. So I’m wondering if other docs got added to the mix,”he said.

The Pentagon has neither confirmed nor denied the authenticity of the leaked documents, acknowledging only that it was taking the situation “very seriously” and pledging to “turn over every rock” to establish what happened. However, multiple US and foreign officials have questioned the authenticity of the documents, arguing that some of them appear to be have been doctored or are entirely fake.
