Mexican airline offers to reunite immigrant families for free

A Mexican airline is offering free flights for families who get separated by President Trump’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy.

“It hurts us to see these children without their parents and it is our vocation to reunite them,” tweeted Controladora Vuela Cia de Aviacion, also known as Volaris.

The airline has agreed to work with authorities in both the US and Mexico, as well as Central America, in an attempt to bring the families together. Officials said they would be offering tickets on pre-existing routes “at no cost.”

Democratic Senate candidate arrested at child detention center: WATCH

Zak Ringelstein, the Democratic nominee challenging Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, in the 2018 election, was arrested Friday after refusing to leave a child immigrant detainment center in Texas.

According to the Daily Caller, Ringelstein, a former public school teacher, is being held on suspicion of criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor charge bearing a potential six-month jail sentence and a fine of up to $2,000.

The arrest occurred after he showed up to the center in a pickup truck laden with children's toys, blankets, and various personal items. After being refused entry to the facility on the grounds of protecting the children's privacy, he began arguing with facility officials. A video of the exchange was posted to his Facebook page.

Ship with reported norovirus outbreak stops in Alaska

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report an outbreak of norovirus on a cruise ship in Alaska.

KTOO public media reports 73 people have reported getting sick on the Holland America cruise ship Zaandam.

The ship, which is carrying more than 2,000 passengers and crew, was in Juneau on Friday. The ship is expected to make additional stops in Alaska before returning to Seattle on July 2.

CBP expects to reunite 'all unaccompanied children in their custody' with families by Sunday: Report

Nearly all migrant children in the custody of Customs and Border Patrol will be reunited with the adult family members they were apprehended with by this coming Sunday, Trump administration officials claim.

According to CBS News' David Begnaud, CBP, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security, expects to reunite "all unaccompanied children in their custody who were separated from adults who were being prosecuted … with their families" this weekend.
