Nurses are there to serve lazy doctors who want the big bucks but don't want the bother.
If nurses weren't there, doctors might have to spend time with the patient and learn something about them and their conditions.
They get to have the nurses do the grunt work, come in for a couple of minutes on their white horse, dispensing as many pills as patients have ailments, not curing anything.
It's all foreign doctors today anyway, some of which barely speak the engrish.
