Explosive, just on Bannon, Jon Solomon said Bidan’s crew involved on 51 former IC letter, Hunter’s laptop had marks of Russian Disinformation

Congressional probe uncovers tie between Biden campaign, security letter dismissing Hunter laptop

Aided by two Obama-era witnesses, congressional investigators led by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan have developed the first evidence that a letter from security experts thatfalsely dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformationduring the 2020 electionhad ties to Joe Biden's presidential campaign.

Jordan told Just the News he expects to release a report from the House panel on weaponization of government later this month thatlays out evidence and the players behind the letter, which many Republicans now say was a consequential interference in the last presidential election.

"It was all done with politics, and it looks likethere was some real connections with the Biden campaign," Jordan said during an interview late last week on the John Solomon Reports podcast, declining to be more specific because there are more witness interviews being conducted this week.

Jim Jordan: New law will limit local DA’s power, indictments of a former president must be in federal courtJim Jordan: New law will limit local DA’s power, indictments of a former president must be in federal court.

For most of the last two years, the letter from 51 national security officialshas been portrayed as an organic effortfrom the intelligence community to raise concerns that the emergence of Hunter Biden's laptop in fall 2020 could be tied to a foreign power. The laptop has since been proven authentic, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has said it did not involve a foreign disinformation campaign.

But before the letter was debunked, it was used to censor stories online in the New York Post, Just the News and other outlets in what has been described by former President Donald Trump, Jordan and many others as an interference in the election that kept voters from understanding influence peddling allegations surrounding the Biden family.

Jordan said his investigators have derived valuable information from transcribed interviews from two formerCIA officials from the Obama era: former acting Director Mike Morrell and Nick Shapiro, a former adviser to ex-Director John Brennan.

"It seems to me that one of the key players here was Michael Morell, that he was one kind of coordinating this, working this together," Jordan said. "And then there are a few other folks. We have talked to Nick Shapiro. Mr. Shapiro, I think, was the one kind ofcoordinating the outreach to the legacy media and how they wanted this story presented."

Morell currently works as a contributor at CBS News. A spokesman for CBS News did not immediately return an email seeking comment from Morell or the network.

Shapiro, who worked as former President Barack Obama's national security spokesman before rising to deputy CIA director under Brennan, did not immediately respond to a request for comment at his consulting firm.

Jordan said thespecific ties to the Biden campaign will be divulged in the interim reportafter additional transcribed interviews are completed.

McCarthy slams Biden for previously supporting spending reforms but not GOP's proposed reforms

Republicans are proposing raising the debt limit into 2024 in exchange for spending cuts and other Democratic concessions.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is speaking to the New York Stock Exchange on Monday as he called out President Joe Biden for supporting previous debt limit increases attached to spending reforms.

McCarthy, a California Republican, said his appearance in front of the world's largest stock exchange comes on his 100th day as speaker.

Biden voted for spending reforms attached to debt limit increases four times as a senator, and when he voted against raising the debt limit, "it was because he said the deficit reduction measures were not enough to justify debt limit increases," McCarthy said.

"What changed Mr. President?" McCarthy said, alluding to how the Biden administration has said Republicans are endangering the economy and security by trying to negotiate on the debt limit.

"I agree with the former, sensible Joe Biden," McCarthy said to applause. "He knew that our government was designed to find compromise. I just wish that the current, extreme Joe Biden would listen to the former Joe Biden too."

He said that the House will vote on a bill that will lift the debt ceiling into 2024 while still saving trillions of taxpayer dollars without touching Social Security or Medicare.

"The American people are left paying the price" of the Biden administration's policies, McCarthy also said. The White House's "incompetent bank supervision and the negative effects of constantly fighting President Biden's inflation" for the failure of Silicon Valley Bank last month, he continued.

"If you gave your child a credit card, and they kept maxing it out to the limit, would you just blindly raise the limit? Of course not," McCarthy said. "You'd be responsible for paying the bill, but you would sit down, you'd work with them to figure out how they could change their spending habits so it never happens again. The exact same thing is true with our national debt."

Before his speech, McCarthy tweeted Sunday that similar to President Ronald Reagan's speech at the New York Stock Exchange in 1985, he plans on outlining "the urgent need for a 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 debt ceiling increase."

The United States reached its debt ceiling of $31.38 trillion in January.

Republicans are proposing raising the debt limit into 2024 in exchange for spending cuts and other Democratic concessions, Just the News reported Saturday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Pentagon leaks name date of Ukrainian counteroffensive – Newsweek

Kiev is reportedly expected to launch a push against Russian forces at the end of this month

The start of Ukraine’s counteroffensive against Russian troops has beenplanned for April 30, Newsweek reportedon Sunday, citing a leaked Pentagon document.

Dated February 28, the file details equipment deliveries and a training schedule for nine brigades that “can be generated for the spring counteroffensive” with the help of the US and its allies. Three additional brigades are expected to be gathered “internally” in Ukraine, according to the file.

Out of the nine brigades trained and equipped by Western countries, six will be ready by March 31, while the “final” three will be ready by April 30, the document claimed.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal told The Hill during a visit to the US last week that an offensive might not be launched until the summer. Speaking to reporters on Monday, the premier suggested that the Pentagon leak would not change Kiev’s plans, asserting that “we are confident that the counteroffensive will happen in the nearest future.”

Aleksey Reznikov, Ukraine’s defense minister, previously said that offensive operations were dependent on the supply of heavy equipment from abroad. The Washington Post reported on April 12 that the long-expected push had been delayed due to bad weather, slow equipment deliveries, and ammunition shortages.

A trove of classified US documents, including intelligence reports and daily updates on the Ukraine conflict, came to the attention of news organizations in April after being dumped online sometime earlier this year. The suspected leaker, US airman Jack Teixeira, was arrested by the FBI last week.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Friday that Moscow had looked into the leaked documents, although Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has suggested that some of the files could be part of a “deception” campaign.

Scientists ‘turning dead birds into drones’

Data recorded by observing bird flight patterns with artificial drones can be used by aviation industry, researchers say

A team of scientists in the US state of New Mexico has undertaken a novel approach to studying the animal kingdom: byattempting to install drones into dead, taxidermied birdsas part of an experiment designed to understand more about their flight patterns.

“We came up with this idea that we can use dead birds and make them [into] a drone,” Dr. Mostafa Hassanalian, an associate professor at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, told Reuters this week. “Everything is there. We do reverse engineering.”

Hassanalian and his team came up with the unconventional idea after failing to see the desired results when they flew artificial mechanical ‘birds’ in flocks of living animals. The taxidermied bird drones are currently being tested in a customized cage – but can at present only be flown for around 20 minutes at a time.

It is hoped that the project will shed new light onhow birds conserve energy by flying in certain formationswhen the artificial drones are flown alongside living flocks. This data could potentially be applied to streamline human aviation.

“If we learn how these birds manage energy between themselves, we can apply [that] into the future aviation industry to save more energy and save more fuel,” Hassanalian told Reuters. It is also hoped that the testing will further articulate theories about how thecolors of birdsinteract with flight efficiency.

“We’ve done experiments and determined that, for our fixed-wing aircraft, applying a certaincolor can change the flight efficiency,” said another scientist, Brenden Herkenhoff. “And the same is true for birds, we believe.”

Bizarrely, the nature of the study appears to coincide with the popular (and deliberately facetious) conspiracy theory ‘Birds Aren’t Real’, which has for several years stated thatbirds are in fact artificial dronesflown in the sky to spy on people. The movement has followers in numerous countries worldwide and has spawned a popular line of apparel.

Hassanalian, though, maintains that his study has no nefarious intentions: “I actually did not know about the people of ‘Birds Aren’t Real’. I found out about them once my story came out for the first time.”

G7 members seek to push Moscow out of nuclear energy market

The UK, US, Canada, Japan and France have announced an agreement to reduce their dependence on Russian nuclear supply chains

Five members of the G7 group have formed an alliance aimed atblocking Russia outof the international nuclear energy market. The US, UK, Canada, Japan and France reached the agreement on the sidelines of a G7 meeting in Sapporo, according to a joint statement shared on Sunday by the British government.

Under the agreement, the allied countries have vowed to use the respective resources and capabilities of each state’s civilian nuclear energy sectors to “ensure the secure supply of uranium fuel through the development of shared supply chainsthat isolate Russia.”

The document further states that the five countries have “identified potential areas of collaboration on nuclear fuels to support the stable supply of fuels for the operating reactor fleets of today, enable the development and deployment of fuels for the advanced reactors of tomorrow, and achieve reduced dependence on Russian supply chains.”

“Together, today’s G7 commitments deal a blow to Russia, demonstrating the international resolve to isolate Putin further internationally,” the British government said in a press release.

British Energy Security Secretary Grant Shapps declared that theUK has been “at the very heart of global effortsto support Ukraine”and “defeat Putin,” adding that the latest agreement is “the next vital step, uniting with other countries to show Putin that Russia isn’t welcome anymore.”

The move comes after it was revealed last week that a number of EU countries were also planning to cut their reliance on Russian uranium by turning to Kazakhstan for supplies, according to a Bloomberg report.

Russia is considered to be one of the world’s largest uranium producers. However, after Moscow launched its military operation in Ukraine over a year ago, a number of countries have been seeking to reduce their dependence on Russian supplies. This includes the US, which is the world’s largest uranium consumer.

While Washington has introduced a number of restrictions on Russian energy imports, these sanctionshave yet to target uranium, despite pressure from US senators to place an embargo on imports. Meanwhile, experts in the nuclear energy field have warned that anydisruption in supplies of Russian uraniumwould “shake” the market and cause “upward pressure” on prices.

(Everything they have tried to do has been a boomerang on them, lets see what happens with this. What about Uranium One?)

Rent-a-hitman application gets soldier arrested

The TennesseeAir National Guardmember wanted extra money to support his family

A 21-year-old memberof the Air National Guard in the US state of Tennessee is facing up to ten years in prison after applying for a job at Rentahitman.com and accepting a downpayment for a contract killing from an undercover FBI agent.

Josiah Ernesto Garcia, 21, has been charged with “use of interstate facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire,” the US attorney’s office in Nashville said on Thursday.

According to federal prosecutors, Garcia applied for contract mercenary work on the website back in February. Saying he needed more money for his family, he bragged about being an expert marksman with several weapons, nicknamed “Reaper.”

“I’m looking for a job, that pays well, related to my military experience (Shooting and Killing the marked target) so I can support my kid on the way,” the criminal complaint quotes Garcia as saying in a follow-up email. “What can I say, I enjoy doing what I do, so if I can find a job that is similar to it, (such as this one) put me in coach!”

Rentahitman.com turned out to be a trap. Originally created for a cybersecurity startup in 2005, it was converted into “a parody site” with false testimonials and a form to apply for “services,” according to the prosecutors. Its owner, Bob Innes, emailed Garcia back upon receiving a request from the FBI, telling him someone would be in touch.

FBI agent, agreeing to kill someone for $5,000, half of it up front. He met with the contact in a Hendersonville, Tennessee park on Wednesday, and was provided with the downpayment and a fictional “target packet.”After Garcia asked if he needed to show proof of the deed, he was arrested by the FBI.

Another 21-year-old guard airman was arrested on Friday. Massachusetts ANG member Jack Teixeiera was charged with leaking classified Pentagon documents pertaining to the Ukraine conflict on an online chat platform.

(Ok this sounds like BS, 21 years old and Air National Guard, are they over patriotic and setting them up?)

Russian researchers find new way to reuse nuclear waste

A method of reprocessing unburned nuclear fuel from spent rods has been tested at Moscow State University

Russian chemists are researching a method that could improve the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel, Moscow State University has reported. The process involves using a compound thatreadily binds to uranium, but not other heavy metals contained in reactor waste.

Spent nuclear fuel rods typically contain amounts of uranium and plutonium which can be extracted and processed into new fuel. Other byproducts of nuclear fission include long-lasting radioactive elements, such as neptunium, americium, and curium. They have their own uses andpose a safety riskif buried with the waste.

The nuclear industry uses chemical repossession to extract these actinides – as the elements are collectively known – and other valuable components before spent fuel is sent for long-term storage. However, the process is relatively complex.

The method that Russian scientists are exploring is analternative to the industry standardand involves an additional phase, during which uranium is removed selectively. Called the GANEX (group actinide extraction) process, it uses a special chemical to extract uranium from nitric acid solutions.

Scientists at Moscow State University’s chemistry department have tested an organic compound derived from phenanthroline for its ability to form ionic bonds with uranium. When switching from lab-simulated spent fuel to what industrial repossession deals with, they found it more efficient than expected.

“The compound can ‘grab’ macroscopic amounts of uranium, and each unit of the extraction agent can link with two units of uranium,” researcher Svetlana Gutorova explained. “One of the particles gets attracted to the positively charged cation part of the complex, and the other one to the negatively charged anion part. With smaller concentrations of uranium in model samples, no team has observed this effect before.”

The team described their research in a paper published in the Inorganic Chemistry magazine earlier this year, and say the efficiency of the phenanthroline derivative in extracting uranium is on a par with the traditional method.

The scientists plan to test similar compounds to see if they could work even more effectively. They hope that a particular chemical could bond exclusively to uranium, and not plutonium, streamlining its reuse in reactors.

Beating victim’s dad rages against Nadler, Schumer at House Judiciary hearing; says they ‘enable’ DA Bragg

Snejana Farberov,

The dad of the victim in a brutal anti-Semitic attack lashed out Monday at Jewish Democratic leaders Jerry Nadler and Chuck Schumer, accusing them during a contentious House Judiciary Committee field hearing of ignoring his son’s plight while permitting Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s soft-on-crime policies.

Barry Borgen told Nadler, the committee’s ranking member, that he was “disappointed” with his fellow “Jewish New Yorker” over his response to the attack on Joseph Borgen, who was brutally beaten while walking to a pro-Israel rally near Times Square in May 2021.

“I called Mr. Schumer’s office, another Jewish New Yorker, numerous times. No one called us back,” Borgen told Nadler, who reps Midtown Manhattan as well as the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, of his treatment by the Senate’s majority leader.

“You have Jewish roots here, and behavior like this enables DA Bragg to just do whatever he wants to do,” the elder Borgen added. “We wouldn’t vote for Mr. Schumer again. … And if I lived in Manhattan, I wouldn’t vote for you, either.”

Joseph Borgen, 30, who was wearing a yarmulke, was attacked and pepper-sprayed by a pack of men who allegedly hurled anti-Semitic slurs at him. The beating left Borgen with a concussion, an injured wrist, a black eye and bruises all over his body.

Bragg triggered widespread outrage after offering one of Borgen’s assailants, 24-year-old Waseem Awawdeh — who allegedly called the victim a “dirty Jew,” — a plea deal allowing Awawdeh to serve just six months in prison.

Two of the other defendants in the case, Mohammed Othman and Mahmoud Musa, were offered sentences of three-and-a-half to 15 years in prison and released on bonds of $150,000 and $50,000 respectively. A fourth suspect, Faisal Elezzi is out on $15,000 cash bail. All three are still facing felony assault as a hate crime charges in connection with the beating.

Moments before Borgen spoke, the GOP-led committee, chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), listened to the mother of a murdered Army vet lay into Bragg as the audience cheered her on.

Madeline Brame, who chairs the nonprofit Victims Rights Reform Council, told committee members that Bragg’s mishandling of her son Hason Correa’s 2018 killing began a few months after the district attorney took office last year.

“When Alvin Bragg came into office, he was handed a strong, trial-ready murder case and gang assault case against all four of these individuals,” she said, before recounting how “the case immediately began to unravel.”

“He dismissed — completely dismissed — gang assault and murder indictments against two of the defendants clearly on video participating in the brutal, savage slaughter of my son,” Brame went on. “Hason was kicked, punched, stomped and stabbed nine times by four individuals whom he did not know, nor had he done them any harm.”

Four siblings — Christopher, James and Mary Saunders, and another brother, Travis Stewart — attacked the 35-year-old married father of three outside a Harlem apartment building.

James Saunders pleaded guilty to gang assault and second-degree murder and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison, below the maximum of 25 years to life — along with Christopher Saunders, who was also convicted of gang assault and sentenced to 20 years to life.

Travis Stewart also pleaded guilty to gang assault but was sentenced to just seven years in prison. Mary Saunders was released from prison last May on time served after having spent 14 months at Rikers Island.

“Travis will be out in the next 18 months,” Brame said. “Mary Saunders — this savage is currently walking the streets of Harlem like she didn’t just participate in the brutal slaughter of another human being — home with her family, home with her children.

“If that’s not a threat to public safety, I don’t know what is,” she added. “And as far as the Manhattan district attorney’s office, if he’s receiving one penny of federal dollars, you need to pull that funding until he starts doing his damn job and prosecuting crime.”

Audience members broke into applause several times during Brame’s testimony, prompting Jordan to remind spectators of the hearing’s rules of decorum.

Members of the GOP-led committee, chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), also heard testimony Monday from the attorney for Jose Alba, the bodega worker who was infamously charged with murder for fatally stabbing a man who attacked him inside the store, and who spent nearly a week at Rikers Island before the charge against him was dropped…

Judge shoots down Trump’s bid to delay E. Jean Carroll rape trial in NYC

Ben Feuerherd

A Manhattan federal judge on Monday denied former President Donald Trump’s bid to delayhis civil trial on allegations he sexually assaulted and defamed advice columnist E. Jean Carroll — with jury selection set to begin next week.

Judge Lewis Kaplan shot down Trump’s argument that a month-long “cooling off” period was necessary because of intense media scrutiny following his criminal indictment in New York state court.

“There is no justification for an adjournment. This case is entirely unrelated to the state prosecution,” Kaplan wrote in an order denying the request.

“The suggestion that the recent media coverage of the New York indictment – coverage significantly (though certainly not entirely) invited or provoked by Mr. Trump’s own actions – would preclude selection of a fair and impartial jury on April 25 is pure speculation,” he added.

Trump, 76,sought twice last week to push off the trial, arguing in a separate letter that information related to who is paying for Carroll’s legal defense was not properly disclosed.

With his order Monday, Kaplan has rejected both bids to push back the trial’s April 25 start date.

In her suit, Carroll claims Trump raped her in the Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s and then made defamatory statements about her allegations.

Trump has denied wrongdoing.

(All these judges need to go!)

Pic of Dems awkwardly holding Bud Lights gets dragged online

Jesse O’Neill

California House Democrats posed with bottles of Bud Light to mock the GOP boycott of the brand in the wake of its partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, but the stilted photo op was mercilessly dragged online for its awkwardness.

Rep. Ted Lieu tweeted the pic of him and Reps. Mark Takano, Judy Chu and Adam Schiff posing with the cheap low-alcohol beers in the Capitol Sunday in response to a Daily Beast article about how the National Republican Congressional Committee put the brakes on its Bud Light boycott because parent company Anheuser-Busch donated nearly a half-million dollars to its candidates in the last election cycle.

But critics were quick to mock the photo of Democratic buds enjoying a cold one and taking pains to showcase their beer’s labels.

The staged pic made Democrats look like the “Beta Beer Party,” Robin Zaruba, who describes himself as an author and musician, cracked on Twitter.

“Look guys, I drink beer, look how I hold the bottle like any normal guy would hold a beer. This is me being like a normal beer holding guy,” “Slightly Offensive” podcast host Elijah Schaffer captioned a zoomed-in picture of Lieu’s strained facial expression.

One user replied, “Precisely my thoughts.Never seen people look so awkward holding a beer bottle in my life.”

“I wonder how much this advertisement cost,” another wrote.

“He’s one of us,” another user sarcastically cracked.

Lieu conceded that the pic was a gag when he replied to a user who called his efforts “equally as infantile and unserious” as the GOP Bud Light boycott, which caused Anheuser-Busch’s market capitalization to sink by $5 billion.

“I mock stupid stuff by MAGA Republicans. Data shows that mockery is one of the more effective ways to get people to stop supporting extremists,” the Los Angeles lawmaker responded. (Thats how stupid and bile Lieu is)

The original brouhaha first began when Bud Light sponsored a March Madness post on Mulvaney’s Instagram account at the beginning of the month.

The partnership was seized upon by conservatives who in recent years have passed “bathroom bills” and banned transgender girls from playing high school sports.

Anhueser-Busch’s CEO Brendan Whitworth apologized last week to those who were offended by the partnership.

“We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people,” he wrote in a press release.

“We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”
