The best time to visit the Finger Lakes region is from May to September, when there are plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the area's outdoor pursuits. Gorgon Stare is a video capture technology developed by the United States military. It is a spherical array of nine cameras attached to an aerial drone. The US Air Force calls it "wide-area surveillance sensor system". The system is capable of capturing motion imagery of an entire city, which can then be analyzed by people or an artificial intelligence, such as the Mind's Eye project being developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. This motion imagery is not considered video as it is collected at fewer frames per second than the standard definition of video; TV-like quality of video is 24–60 FPS. Gorgon Stare needs to utilize a system of tagging and metadata to be fully effective. The Air Force planned to deliver one system in 2011, another in 2012, and a third in 2014, though they would not enter service until accepted by the commander in the theatre of operations. Gorgon Stare was under development for more than two years and is designed to download 65 different images to a variety of military users for analysis; this is what is referred to as "wide-area persistent surveillance."

Southwest Airlines grounds all flights nationwide
Tech glitches forced Southwest Airlines to ground all of its flights nationwide late Tuesday morning.
“As a result of the intermittent technology issues that we experienced, we should hopefully be resuming our operation as soon as possible,” a spokesperson for the airline said. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we’re hoping to get everyone going ASAP.”
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed in a tweet around 10:30 a.m. that Southwest “requested the FAA pause the airline’s departures.”
As of 11 a.m., more than 1,200 Southwest flights were delayed, according to flight tracking website FlightAware.
It’s not the first time operations for the aircraft carrier were plunged into chaos in recent months. More than 16,700 Southwest flights were canceled and 2 million passengers stranded between December 20 to 29, ruining travel plans for many during the holiday season. due to the harsh wintry weather conditions.

Officials Investigating Death Of Father Of Former Trump National Security Adviser

According to the Philadelphia Department of Health, H.R. McMaster Sr., the father of Gen. H.R. McMaster, died on April 13 at the Cathedral Village Retirement Community located in the 600 block of East Cathedral Road.
The health department confirms he died of blunt impact trauma to the head and the manner of death was determined to be an accident.
But sources tell CBS3 that Philadelphia police and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office are investigating the possibility of institutional neglect after he fell.
"We are working closely with the Philadelphia Police Department to thoroughly and carefully review this tragic incident. This investigation is in the very early stages," says the attorney general's office in a statement.
Sources could not provide further details at this time.

Four planes were forced to make emergency landings in Chile and Peru on Thursday due to bomb threats issued to the Chilean Civil Aviation Authority, it said in a statement.
Two of the planes were operated by LATAM Airlines and two by Sky, a low-cost Chilean airline, the aviation authority said.
The planes were undergoing checks of passengers, baggage, and their cabins and holds by police and airport security, it said.
