Interesting DIA Connections in Florida
Regardless as to how you feel about DeSantis or Trump, there is an interesting dynamic that is taking place in Florida related to the Florida State Guard. It has been ignored by almost everyone watching the emerging Trump v DeSantis primary struggle. It also gives a better clue as to who is backing DeSantis.
When the Florida State Guard was announced in mid-2022, DeSantis explained it was for greater emergency response flexibility. He hired Marine Lt. Col. Chris Graham. Graham had no emergency response experience. Rather, Graham was a "Mustang" Marine officer - climbing from an enlisted position to an officer after graduating at Auburn. He was assigned to US SOCOM's Coalition and Special Warfare drug interdiction team where he worked closely with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Later, he graduated combat helicopter school and became a Marine aviator. During the war in Iraq, Graham surrendered his air combat position to lead an infantry battalion - twice. He was wounded twice and ultimately was assigned to work for General Mike Flynn at the DIA. Graham resigned his commission after becoming critical of the US military's woke push.
Last October, at the age of 51 - in perfect health and unvaxed - while working on a special intelligence and procurement program for the Florida State Guard - Lt. Col. Graham was found dead. The development of the intel and procurement teams were ostensibly designed to provide Florida emergency response teams with the greatest amount of information, such as terror incident response or the ability to buy weapons outside of the federal system.
In January 2023, DeSantis tasked US Navy Captain Luis Soler to take over the State Guard. Like Graham, Soler was a Mustang - former enlisted Marine who received a direct commission to the US Navy Reserve after graduating from the Naval Academy. Like Graham, Soler worked directly for General Mike Flynn. Soler was leading a law enforcement intelligence unit in Texas when he was tasked with this responsibility. Prior to that, Soler was an IG investigating the antifa in South Florda.
A week prior to the selection of Soler, DeSantis hired Major General John D. Haas, to be the new commander for the Florida National Guard as Adjutant General. Soler will report to Haas. Haas is an accomplished combat commander who last led the 1-153rd Cavalry Regiment of the Florida National Guard and prior to that, had several successful and decorated combat deployments to Iraq. He, too, worked for General Michael Flynn at DIA while a Lt. Colonel. He further assisted in various US Army War College reports on the development of allied and indigenous militias in American history - especially in Florida.
DeSantis, Graham, Soler, and Haas - all four were born in Florida. All four served or reported up to General Michael Flynn at DIA (DeSantis as an interrogations "JAG" assigned to SEAL Team One). To date, the Florida State Guard expanded from a budget of $10 Million annually to $96 Million in less than six months. It has not built an emergency response team. The Florida State Guard has built an intelligence unit. The team has expanded from 400 initial personnel to 1500 - to be filled by the end of 2023.
Something is happening in Florida. Never underestimate the hatred DIA has for the CIA/NSA. It is more than interagency rivalry. They have two different perspectives on the "American mission."
