Loved ones have been fighting a battle in a shithole and it sucks that the locals in power, in many of our states, are so heavily entrenched and used to committing their deadly crimes without any accountability or punishment.

Excellent points, you guise. I'm just weary, especially today. Some dear pals are fighting an uphill battle and getting the crap kicked out of them, but still they fight. I think what might help them is that the fight and battles and allegations of deadly misconduct by some of those we trust the most will probably piss of so many other people that the only thing that can happen, afterward, is the right thing. That's how I encourage them, anyways, since staying quiet and bending over and taking it hasn't been doing them any good.
And yeh, I do agree with you that things are progressing. We have come far. I personally know many former liberal and former lefty people in a blue state who cannot wait for President Trump to return.
Me? If the talk of a blackout period without the internet is true, while those indictments get unsealed and all the assholes get arrested, are true, then BRING IT ON.
I really, really could use the communication-free break. Man, I'd love nothing moar then to be ordered to stay home while some notable arrests happen.
