Jean-Pierre: [Putin] knows his military is under performing, and struggling to achieve it's objectives through this invasion.

Langworthy: I think it's important to understand how funds are getting to Afghanistan, especially now that wire transfers are restricted.

Sopko: We're sending bulk cash to Afghanistan on a regular basis…five or fifteen million a week or whatever. The money is then used to go to the UN, and go to the implementing agencies. So it's all cash.

Gosar: How much foreign aid do you suspect reaches the Taliban? Could you hazard to give me a percentage?

Sopko: I can't because of a lack of cooperation from State [Department] and USAID.

Burchett: Is the Taliban giving US equipment left behind to other terrorist organizations or hostile countries?

Sopko: I spoke to General Sadat, who was an Afghan General, last week, and he said it's become basically a weapons bazaar, and the equipment is going to terrorists, both in-country,and out of country.

Moore: We went to Ft. Bliss, the emergency intake center for children, unaccompanied minors, over a thousand a day, and they're taking these kids in and they're throwing them on buses. I actually tried to video the buses shipping the children all around the country, and they seized my cellphone. [I asked the Admiral] if we do background checks on the people we're sending these children to, he said no, we don't do that.

Comer: The White House press secretary was just asked whether the Biden administration has stonewalled you and your office. She responded, "The Biden administration has consistently provided updates and information." Is the Biden administration cooperating with your investigation?

Sopko [Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction]: I can't talk about the whole administration, but I can talk about State [Department], USAID, DOD, and no, they haven't. I'm happy to give you chapter and verse on that.

Comer: Have they consistently provided updates and information?

Sopko: No.

Comer: Do you have all the information you need to complete your work?

Sopko: No.

Comer: Is it even the administration's decision to determine what information and documents your office is entitled to?

Sopko: No. That flies in the face of what an independent IG should do. We determine what we need, who we need to talk to, and what reports we write. Otherwise we aren't independent inspectors general.
