Same happens when you go on an all vegetarian diet (especially with no canned/processed foods). Just food grown via nature.

I did that for a bit. Then had some processed food and…the salt level was thru the roof. Unpalatable. Food did not taste right. As a result, I eat very little processed food now, and more fruit/veg. (Yes, I do eat meats too.)
