On 8kun as soon as it falls off the catalog, the media will get deleted.
So could try to find the archived link, and figure out when something falls off the catalog and then link to wayback machine.
You can call this URL:

With the target URL added to it.
You get JSON data back, and you should find the archived URL that way. It's pretty trivial.
Images and especially videos have been archived for quite some time, around 2+ years now.
It started around mid 2020, but took some more time until images and other content that was notabled got archived.
At first only videos and PDFs and such were archived.
Same for threads and thread json data.
Take for example your latest entry.

You need to add something to the URL to get the image directly without the wayback machine header. I would have to check which needs to get modified.
