TEXAS - Nine teens wounded at after-prom party north of Jasper early Sunday

DEVELOPING: 9 teens shot at post-prom party north of Jasper

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that injured nine teens, ages 15-19, shortly after midnight Sunday at a post-prom party at a residence on County Road 263 north of Jasper, according to Karli Cherry with the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office says none of the injuries is life-threatening.

Most victims were transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital, and some were transferred to Christus St. Elizabeth for further treatment. This investigation is ongoing and Chief Deputy Scott Duncan says that people of interest are being questioned.
