I also recall at that time in history the "satanic scares" which were real, but coverups for satanic killings and markings poppng up across the country.

I have not seen mention before this thread of the previous cattle mutilations which were very similarly described.
My guess is they are connected, or someone is trying to remind us of the 1970s for some reason (faked or real)
