White House Adds Andrew Bates to Press Team After TJ Ducklo Departure

The White House announced Thursday that it was hiring Andrew Bates, a former aide on President Joe Biden’s campaign, weeks after deputy press secretary T.J. Ducklo resigned in disgrace last month for threatening a reporter.
Bates, who was the director of rapid response for the Biden campaign, and then worked in communications on the transition team, is an outspoken presence on Twitter, where he mocked reporters — and had an exchange with Ducklo about “sh*t-canned” White House staffers.
“The bored reporter whose predictions during the primary were unfailing wrong put down their Le Diplomate delivery,” Bates wrote on May 12, 2020, as Biden was locking up his position as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee. “It was time to say it. ‘Voters don’t give a shit about fixing our economy,’ they confidently tweeted from their iPad. They care about video backdrops and process!'”
Le Diplomate is a Washington restaurant where the duck l’orange runs $34.
Ironically, he also dropped an S-bomb in an exchange with Ducklo — to revel in the prospect that staffers in President Donald Trump’s White House might be “sh*t-canned.”
“Hey @AndrewBatesNC, this might be a good time to ask,” Ducklo wrote in the May 17 missive directed at Bates. “When a new administration is sworn in, do the political staff from the previous one get to stay on?”
“Hell no,” Bates replied. “They get sh*t-canned.”
Bates will begin working on Monday, according to the White House. Ducklo leftthe position in February after the revelation he had threatened Tara Palmieri, a reporter at Politico who planned to report on Ducklo’s relationship with Alexi McCammond, who was then a reporter at Axios. “I will destroy you,” Ducklo allegedly told Palmieri.

White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates found himself in hot water Wednesday aftersharing a video from an account mocking President Joe Biden.
Bates shared a video of White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre that had been posted by Greg Price, the senior digital strategist at XStrategies LLC and a former Daily Caller social media coordinator.
Before Bates shared the clip,Price had temporarily changed his account name to “Joe Biden Showered With His Daughter,” causing the moniker to show up under Bates’ post.
Bates also retweeted Price’s original tweet containing the video, apparently without noticing Price’s account name.
In the video from Thursday’s press briefing, Jean-Pierre lamented the alleged “bad faith attacks” against Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg over his handling of the train derailment and toxic chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio.
“There’s been a lot of bad faith attacks on Secretary Buttigieg. If you remember Elaine Chao. She was the head of the Department of Transportation and when there were these types of chemical spills, nobody was calling for her to be fired,” Jean-Pierre said.
Buttigieg faced widespread scrutiny for delaying his public response to the crisis for 10 days. He visited the site in East Palestine on Thursday, exactly twenty days after the Feb. 3 derailment.
The Transportation Secretary said in a Tuesday interview that he “could’ve spoken out sooner” in the aftermath of the crisis.
“Our department was on the ground within hours, helping with the response and the investigation,” he said. “Again, I respect the separate role of the [National Transportation Safety Board]. But we have been on the ground literally from day one to make sure that we’re doing our part to support. I do think it’s important to speak out about that, and I could have spoken sooner, and I’m making sure that we are focused on the actions that are gonna make a difference.”

Hours before he signed up for his Burisma board of directors cash grab, joining his father in one of many Obama White House criminal conspiracies, Hunter Biden was chatting amiably with pseudo-intellectuals Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on the set of their MSNBC show “Morning Joe.”
How fitting.
Seems MSNBC’s first couple of Democratic propaganda were the perfect useful idiots for the Biden Crime Family’s Burisma grift which began on April 18th, 2014.
Here’s a screenshot of a telling email which I obtained from Marco Polo’s BidenLaptopEmails.com website. The 11:00 a.m. “Call with Devon, Boies Schiller & Burisma Senior Management Team” was when Hunter accepted the lucrative board position in — as I’ve proven — a kickback scheme with his father.
Note that Joe and Hunter began their crime on Good Friday. In his personal daily schedule, which I reviewed regularly in the White House when I worked for Joe, he would highlight Catholic Holy Days of Obligation — giving me the impression he was deeply religious. He would also invite now-defrocked Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to many receptions furthering his image as a devout Catholic. I’ll have more on that in a future post.
While Good Friday is not a Holy Day of Obligation, it is a day of reverence for Catholics. Now that day and Easter Monday, April 21st, 2014, are tied irrevocably to Joe’s White House crimes.
I’ll leave final judgment on that and his other evil deeds to a higher power. And I will continue to present evidence to ensure he is adequately punished under our legal system.
There’s a lot of it, and Joe’s crimes are almost incomprehensible. But punishment awaits.
Hunter was in New York specifically to launch his Ukrainian caper with Devon Archer, his business partner who had already joined the Burisma board.
So Hunter’s “Morning Joe” appearance was the cover story for his trip. As the then-chairman of the board of World Food Program USA, and the “upstanding” son of the Vice President, he had a Democrat do-goody-good story to tell.
Perfect for Joe and Mika, who lapped it up.
I have no indication that they knew what Hunter and Joe were up to with Burisma at that point in time. In fact, they’re so clueless, I know they still don’t.
But we do.
I actually stumbled across this tidbit as I was looking at a Judicial Watch report on the Secret Service travel records pertaining to the detail protecting Hunter. Judicial Watch is an anti-corruption nonprofit that conducts Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and litigation to pry the truth out of government agencies. They are essential to our democracy.
Almost three years ago, in June 2020, Judicial Watch published a expansive record of Hunter Biden’s USSS-protected travel — national and international. I just recently discovered it, and a couple things jumped out at me. But first, here’s the link to the entire report.
My interest was drawn to the final portion dated March 2014 through June of 2014, shown in the screenshot below. As I’ve reported extensively, that time period was when Joe and Hunter were setting up their Burisma kickback scheme.
Amidst a flurry of trips in April 2014 when he enjoyed United States Secret Service (USSS) protection, Hunter Biden traveled without his detail for April 11th and 12th, 2014 — when, according to Laptop emails, he was with his father violating the law.
This looks to be Hunter intentionally separating from his agents — and their obligatory record keeping— to cover his tracks. Laptop emails indicate he may have been with his daughter Maisy, overnighting at Joe’s Wilmington house for a basketball tournament. There’s also a Laptop calendar entry putting the tournament in Richmond, Virginia. But there are no travel records of those two days….

Hunter discontinued his USSS protective detail and their record-keeping of his whereabouts in July 2014 — just as his Ukraine and China kickback schemes were revving up.
But this particular segment of the Judicial Watch report is rife with intrigue. Starting on the 2nd through 6th of April, note the Hunter, with his then-wife Kathleen accompanying, traveled through Newark to Lake Como with a protective detail. As I’ve previously reported, Hunter met with Burisma executive Vadim Pozharskyi there.
As I’ve previously reported, on April 8th, Hunter was at a VP Team meeting at NavObs, Joe’s house, for breakfast. So first stop after he meets with Burisma’s go-to guy is breakfast with Joe and VP Team. And as his planning email indicates, it was meeting he was anticipating to be long.
So definitely no Secret Service travel that day. Potentially the reason is because he was in town, not traveling. Though, there was Secret Service travel accompaniment for his golf outing in Owings Mills, Maryland.
But the oddity is the gap between traveling with his agents to Baltimore for golf, and then nothing reported, until he’s again traveling with his agents and his Wilmington-based brother to Houston via Baltimore Washington International Airport.
So where was Hunter on the 11th and 12th? How did he get to Baltimore? Did he go to Maisy’s basketball tournament? And why didn’t he want the Secret Service to protect him on those two days? Or was it that, he was with Joe and he didn’t need them. I’ve reviewed all the Laptop emails between Hunter and the Secret Service, and there’s not a one concerning these dates.
I’d be shocked if Special Prosecutor David Weiss has presented this information to his Wilmington grand jurors who are investigating Hunter. He should. But I’d be shocked if he has.

Multiple civilians killed and injured as Ukraine shells Donetsk
The city has been targeted by Kiev’s forces with heavy artillery and rocket fire, according to local officials
Ukrainian forces subjected the city of Donetsk and its immediate vicinity toartillery and multiple rocket launcher fire on Sunday. The attacks leftat least three civilians deadand damaged houses and infrastructure, according to local officials.
The westernmost Petrovsky District of the city, which gets targeted by Ukrainian troops on an almost daily basis, appears to have been worst-affected, with multiple hits registered in the area. One civilian was killed and five others injured, according to the city’s mayor, Alexey Kuzmin.
The shellingtargeted exclusively residential areasof the district, with no military targets in sight, as footage shared online by the mayor shows. The shelling damaged at least two residential houses, with debris hitting a local arts school, shattering windows and damaging its entrance. Nine other residential houses and a bus depot were damaged elsewhere across the city, the mayor reported.
In a separate incident, a civilian was injured by the notorious andinternationally-banned PFM-1 ‘petal’ mine.The mines, poured by Kiev’s forces onto the city through rocket-propelledcluster munitions, have claimed 112 civilian victims, including ten children, amid the ongoing conflict, according to a local monitoring group. Three of the PFM-1 victims succumbed to their injuries.
Two women were killed in the city of Makeyevka, located immediately to the north of Donetsk. The city was subjected to multiple rocket launcher fire, with at least five projectiles hitting its residential areas. Disturbing footage of the incident, circulating online, shows victims walking by the side of the road, apparently hearing the incoming projectile and trying to take cover. The rocket, however, hit straight in the middle of the road, shredding the women with fragments.
The Donetsk People’s Republic was incorporated into Russia last October, together with the People’s Republic of Lugansk and the formerly-Ukrainian Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions, following referendums in which the local populations voted overwhelmingly in favor of the move.

Russia warns of repercussions from US visa refusal
Moscow has vowed to come up with a responsefor Washington “to remember” following US hostility towards allowing reporters into US
The US has failed to grant visas to accredited journalists from the media pool traveling with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Moscow said on Sunday. Lavrov and his delegation are scheduled to take part in UN Security Council meetings in New York City next week, with Russia currently holding the rotating presidency of the UNSC.
Russia’s top diplomat blasted the withholding of visas as “stupid,” exposing the true worth of Washington’s “oaths about protecting freedom of speech, about access to information, and so on.”
“Of course, I understood how notorious our American colleagues are for such things but I was sure that, this time, given the attention that was drawn to their ugly behavior, everything would be different. But I was wrong,” Lavrov told reporters.
Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov revealed that theUS had been “pretending” until the very last momentthat it was trying to sort out the visa issue. Now, Moscow is compelled to respond to the fresh hostile move, he warned.
“It’s yet another proof that not only should our colleagues in Washington not be trusted, but also not-listened-to altogether,” Ryabkov stated. “I stress, we will find ways to respond, to make Americans remember that things should not be done in such a fashion.And they will remember.”
Lavrov is set to preside at two UNSC meetings this week, meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and to hold other bilateral meetings in New York. The diplomatic activities areset to become “major newsbreak events” and barring the pool reporters from participating is completely unacceptable, Ryabkov said.
Russia assumed the rotating presidency of the Security Council on April 1, amid the ongoing standoff with the collective West over Moscow’s special military operation in Ukraine. The UNSC presidency has been riddled with assorted issues, with the American side also delaying granting permission for the arrival of Lavrov’s plane. The pool journalists traveling with the Russian delegation were supposed to have a visa appointment as early as March 31 yet these meetings were canceled, Anatoly Antonov, Russia’s ambassador to Washington, revealed last week.
The Russian Foreign Minister and multiple other senior officials were subjected to US sanctions last year over the Ukraine conflict. At the same time, as the host-nation of the UN headquarters, Washington hasobligations not to hamper with the work of its diplomatsand foreign dignitaries, or with that of accredited journalists, whatever the circumstances.

Seymour Hersh reacts to NYT hunting Pentagon leaker
The reporter says his former employer, the New York Times, has become completely “pro-Biden”
Seymour Hersh has slammed the New York Times over its pro-government stance and treatment of sources, and the way it helped the FBI track down suspected Pentagon leaker Jack Teixeira. The veteran investigative journalist gave an interview to Afshin Rattansi on ‘Going Underground.’
Teixeira, who posted classified US intelligence data on the conflict in Ukraine and other issues in an online gaming forum, was apprehended by the FBI last week. The arrest took place after the NYT and the Washington Post – in cooperation with Western-funded “open source investigations” outfit Bellingcat – tracked down the source of the documents and publicly exposed his identity. The NYT also located Teixeira’s home in Massachusetts and spoke with his mother.
“Don’t get me going on the press; the press is a no-win situation for me,” Hersh said when asked about the issue during the program.
The veteran journalist mentioned that he worked at the NYT for many years and “won a lot of prizes,” at a time when the paper was much better at protecting its sources.
“One of the most important stories I wrote [in 1974] about the CIA spying on American citizens had nobody named in it,” he said.
The NYT has shown itself to be completely“pro-Biden” as it doesn’t criticize the US president at all, Hersh argued. The Pulitzer Prize winner said that along with other major outlets, the paper did not report on his recent bombshell article blaming the Biden administration for the explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea last September. They only published “counter stories given by the intelligence community,”the 86-year-old added.
Hersh went on to claim thatDonald Trump “terrified” the media when he became US president in 2017despite “all the mocking they did…And they’re terrified again. I’ll tell you there’s a lot of people very worried that we might end with Biden-Trump ticket in 2024.”
In such a situation, “you can’t be shocked that the Times would be – as a good citizen – turning to the FBI…of course, I am [shocked], but you can’t be.”

Musk claims he donated $100 million to Ukraine

Elon Musk claimed to have donated $100 million to support Kiev in its conflict with Moscow during an argument on social media with US author Stephen King on Sunday. Last year, the SpaceX, Tesla and Twitter CEO oversaw the introduction of the Starlink telecommunications system in Ukraine.
“I’ve donated $100m to Ukraine, how much have you donated?” Musk asked King in a tweet on Sunday after the author suggested that the billionaire should donate a portion of the proceeds from the social media platform’s new paid-verification model to Kiev.
Musk also retweeted an October message from Ukrainian Technologies Minister Mikhail Federov, in which he thanked the SpaceX CEO for the provision of the company’s Starlink satellite network to Ukraine, which he described as “critically important.”
The Twitter owner also noted that SpaceX had turned down funding from the US Department of Defense to help pay for the system’s operational costs – which he estimated last year would reach $100 million by the end of 2022.
Soon after the beginning of the conflict last year, Musk made Starlink – a low Earth orbit constellation of satellites that provides internet access – available in Ukraine following a request from Federov. The communications network was deployed by Kiev to monitor troop movements and other military information-gathering methods, particularly as Ukraine’s pre-existing internet infrastructure was regularly inoperable.
However, in February,Kiev responded angrily after Musk and SpaceX imposed limitson the use of Starlink in Ukraine amid reports that the technology wasbeing harnessed for the use of drones. Mikhail Podolyak, a senior adviser to Vladimir Zelensky, argued at the time that SpaceX must decide if it is “on the side of the right to freedom.”
Gwynne Shotwell, SpaceX’s chief operating officer, said during a news conference in the United States last February thatthe system was not intendedfor use in Ukraine for “offensive purposes,” and that it was “never, never meant to be weaponized.”
(Ukraine thought their bullying and whining would work with Musk, but it had the opposite effect.)
