I took a history class with him which was supposed to re reconstruction to present.
We spent entire semester talking about “big machine” time in Chicago politics with a brief sojourn into cowboy America.
I went to front of auditorium to ask a question after class one day. He handed me his empty prescription bottles and asked me if I could do him a favor, call the pharmacy and get them refilled.
Weird because I worked at that pharmacy but there was 200 students in class so he couldn’t have known that. They were bipolar meds.
He was late to final, finally showed up with no shoes on…said he had been in jail.
A friend of mine was a grad student who had been to his house for a party…he didn’t have a floor. Pier and beam house with Wood floor which had been taken out so that you stepped down onto dirt. Literally on ground.
I wasn’t surprised when I saw paper.
Still, maybe.
