We have Tubi for movies. At first (few yrs ago) the commercials during the movies was normal. Now it’s gotten more and more woke. The last straw was that eharmony ad with the two gay dudes riding a bike and all kissy. This was during a documentary that any child could have been watching.
Unfortunately the advertisers are being their crap with them to new platforms. We always mute and walk away. You can’t skip past them.
I can’t even believe, yet somehow I’ve always known we’d get to a point where we need to question whether we’re talking to an actual living human being online. Makes me want to smash my computer and go full Amish.
There’s something very satisfying about walking to the Amish store, paying cash or a check and having an actual conversation. We use checks to pay the few bills we have and cash as much as we can. I don’t do social email, prefer writing letters. I’m not old. Kek. Hopefully all these things will make a return…as we leave tech to embrace real life.
