Rodas [Border Crisis Hearing]: We have children saying there are radio advertisements in their home town. So in Huehuetenango, in Guatemala, they're actually advertised on the radio: "Come with us. We'll give you passage to the United States." There is an example of a sponsor who is in Austin Texas at this moment, he attempted to sponsor four children…promising work to these children who are making $2.50/day on the coffee farm he owns in Guatemala. He lured them here. Fortunately, they were put into long-term care. Facebook ads and other things; children are being lured here, and then put to work here.
Moore: So the administration is really; we're engaged in creating slavery. We are trafficking slaves to this country.
Rodas: Absolutely. There is no doubt. Because this criminal element views children as a commodity, they see us as the middleman, because we are paying the flight directly to the end user. The trafficker.
Moore: Thank you for being a whistleblower. I guess they didn't treat you very nicely when you blew the whistle.
Rodas: No they did not. They threatened me with investigation, they walked me off the emergency intake site, and they took my badge…[The Council For Inspectors General] actually offered to send agents to retrieve me, to escort me home, because they were concerned with my safety. HHS [Health and Human Services] did everything they could to keep this silent.
