BREAKING: Nashville trans school shooter’s manifesto to be released by authorities: report

Writings from the Covenant shooter are now being reviewed for public release.

The manifesto left by Nashville Covenant School shooter Audrey Hale may soon be released to the public.

Metro Nashville Police Department’s Public Information Office told Fox 17 News on Thursday, "The investigation has advanced to the point that writings from the Covenant shooter are now being reviewed for public release. That process is underway and will take a little time."

Hale, who identified as transgender, entered the Covenant School on March 27, killing three staff members and three young students.

In the weeks since, Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett said that the manifesto "could maybe tell us a little bit about what’s going on inside of [Hale's] head," adding that the manifesto should not be made available to the public, but rather to lawmakers and the families of the deceased.

Metro Nashville Council Member Courtney Johnston stated that according to her sources, the document was "a blueprint on total destruction," adding that "it was so, so detailed at the level of what [Hale] had planned." Johnston also cautioned against releasing it to the world, noting that while some parts should be made available, the document in its entirety "in the wrong person's hands would be astronomically dangerous."

Law enforcement recovered numerous documents from Hale's vehicle and bedroom, showing that she was "planning over a period of months to commit mass murder at The Covenant School." Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director David Rausch explained that "one is specifically a plan and the other is some journal-type rantings."

At the time of publication, it remains unclear whether or not elements of the manifesto will be redacted.

SCIENCE

The College Board can’t be trusted

27 Apr 2023

An institution that has long influenced academia in the United States has lost credibility. The College Board—a nonprofit organization that oversees the development of Advanced Placement (AP) precollege courses and the administration of the SAT exam that is used in college admissions—has been caught in an outright lie about its practices, raising questions about its vulnerability to political pressures. With the integrity of the College Board now in question, academia must decide whether it can be trusted.

In February, a major storm erupted in academia around the launch of an AP course in African American studies. Prior to its release, Florida governor Ron DeSantis and other conservatives complained that the curriculum promulgated liberal orthodoxy. To the dismay of scholars, the Board then released a revised version, stating that the changes were made through normal processes. Now, emails have surfaced belying that claim. The implications of this deception are tremendous not only for the humanities but also for science. An incursion into academic freedom for one is an incursion for all.

The College Board had it right in the fall of 2022 when it released a framework for this AP course. As historian Gerald Early told me, “Black studies was always meant to be a challenge to the white assumptions about the construction of knowledge and about the theoretical claims and political uses of the white deployment of knowledge.” The initial framework was true to this vision, and included material on critical race theory and intersectionality, concepts crucial to understanding the activist nature of the field. But just as DeSantis criticized the course as “woke indoctrination,” the curriculum was refined, making much of this material optional. Critics claimed that the College Board appeased a future presidential candidate, but the organization flooded the media with interviews and statements insisting that this was not the case.

Now the Wall Street Journal has published private emails showing that statements by the College Board were false. The courageous actor in the saga is Professor Nishani Frazier of the University of Kansas, who was involved in developing the portion of the course in which revisions were made. In response to the spin that the College Board’s chief executive officer put on the controversy, Frazier wrote in one of the emails, “We all know this is a blatant lie. In fact, the major changes which occurred came from my unit—and not once did AP speak with me about these changes. Instead, it rammed through revisions, pretended course transformation was business as usual, and then further added insult to injury by attempting to gaslight the public with faux innocence.” The course, she said, was “edited behind our backs.” She put the blame for this on “the failure of AP to recognize both its own institutional racism and how its own lies and capitulation precipitated the creation of a monster of its own making.” When I asked the College Board for a comment about Frazier’s email, it declined to provide one.

In a column I wrote in February, I suggested that the reason the College Board could deny that it bowed to political pressure was that it had already known what changes the Florida governor (and perhaps other conservative states) would want for Black studies. Whatever the case, we now know from Frazier’s email that the Board did not follow its normal procedures in editing the course, as they had repeatedly insisted.

The College Board now says that it will “rectify” the matter by again revising the course in a manner that will involve experts and a development committee. With eyes fixed upon it, the organization cannot afford to diminish any topics in the curriculum. But what about the other AP courses? There are nearly 40 of them, for which there is a large high school and college appetite. Are they in jeopardy? If the College Board knew what DeSantis desired for Black studies, might they also anticipate that he and other conservatives would favor adding intelligent design to AP Biology or remove climate change from AP Environmental Science? The College Board can no longer be trusted to defend any discipline.

The corruption of the College Board is appalling. It simply cannot be trusted, and academia must stop relying on it to make important decisions about education.

All business! Gym-casual Ivanka steps out in Miami with a cup of coffee and laptop one day after it was revealed she has split with her brothers' lawyers in favor of Jeffrey Epstein attorney

▶ Ivanka Trump was spotted entering an office building in Miami on Thursday

▶ It followed news that she had split from her brothers' legal team in civil case

▶ Ivanka instead retained lawyer who previously represented the Epstein estate

Ivanka Trump has been spotted taking care of business in Miami, a day after splitting from the attorneys representing her brothers Eric and Don Jr. in a civil fraud suit against the family brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

On Thursday morning, photos exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com showed Ivanka entering an office building, casually clad in workout wear and clutching a coffee mug, laptop and wide-brimmed sun hat.

After serving as White House advisors during her father's administration, Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner have been living in South Florida, where Kushner has launched an investment firm.

In court documents filed on April 21, Ivanka revealed she was splitting from the attorneys representing her brothers in the New York case, and had instead retained Bennet Moskowitz, who previously represented the estate of Jeffrey Epstein.

James sued Donald Trump, Don Jr, Eric and Ivanka in September last year alleging they committed 'incredible' fraud at the Trump Organization by falsely inflating property values to obtain cheaper loans. …

The New York attorney general, a Democrat, is seeking $250 million – and is asking a judge to 'permanently' bar Donald Trump and his adult children from doing business in the state.

Trump and his children have denied the claims, and just one week after the suit was filed, Eric and Don Jr. submitted paperwork saying they had retained Clifford Robert and Michael Farina of Robert & Robert to represent them.

That was the firm Ivanka had been using as well. But, the newly filed court documents show, Ivanka has now split with Robert and Farina in favor of Moskowitz, Forbes first reported on Wednesday.

Ivanka held the title of executive vice president at the Trump Organization, and had a prominent role on 'The Apprentice' TV show. She father her father to Washington when he won the White House, serving as an unpaid senior advisor along with her husband, Jared Kushner.

Fox ratings tumble in Tucker Carlson slot after his firing

NEW YORK (AP) — Hundreds of thousands of Fox News viewers are reacting to Tucker Carlson’s firing by abandoning the network in his old time slot — at least temporarily.

Fox drew 1.33 million viewers for substitute host Brian Kilmeade in the 8 p.m. Eastern hour on Wednesday night, putting the network second to MSNBC’s Chris Hayes in a competition Carlson used to dominate, the Nielsen company said.

That’s down 56% from the 3.05 million viewers Carlson reached last Wednesday, Nielsen said. For all of 2022, Carlson averaged 3.03 million viewers, second only to Fox’s “The Five” as the most popular program on cable television.

Carlson offered his own alternative to Kilmeade on Wednesday, posting a two-minute monologue on Twitter at 8 p.m. By Thursday afternoon, that video had been viewed 62.7 million times, according to Twitter.

Kilmeade had 1.7 million viewers on Tuesday and 2.59 million on Monday, when he told people who hadn’t already heard the news that Carlson would no longer be there.

Carlson had 2.65 million viewers on Friday for what he didn’t know at the time would be his last show on Fox. He was fired on Monday with no explanation given publicly, although there are no shortage of theories — including a former employee’s lawsuit that cited a toxic work atmosphere at his show, offensive statements by Carlson that came out as part of the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit against Fox and his embrace of political conspiracy theories about the Jan. 6 insurrection. …

"The religious teaching of the Jews is principally a collection of instructions for maintaining the Jewish blood pure and for regulating intercourse between Jews and the rest of the world: that is to say, their relation with non-Jews. But the Jewish religious teaching is not concerned with moral problems. It is rather concerned with economic problems, and very petty ones at that. In regard to the moral value of the religious teaching of the Jews there exist and always have existed quite exhaustive studies (not from the Jewish side; for whatever the Jews have written on this question has naturally always been of a tendentious character) which show up the kind of religion that the Jews have in a light that makes it look very uncanny to the Aryan mind. The Jew himself is the best example of the kind of product which this religious training evolves. His life is of this world only and his mentality is as foreign to the true spirit of Christianity as his character was foreign to the great Founder of this new creed two thousand years ago. And the Founder of Christianity made no secret indeed of His estimation of the Jewish people. When He found it necessary He drove those enemies of the human race out of the Temple of God; because then, as always, they used religion as a means of advancing their commercial interests. But at that time Christ was nailed to the Cross for his attitude towards the Jews; whereas our modern Christians enter into party politics and when elections are being held they debase themselves to beg for Jewish votes. They even enter into political intrigues with the atheistic Jewish parties against the interests of their own Christian nation."
