There are positive Faction Masons. There is prob a civil war amongst the Elites which is the real battle. It's kinda like John Wick where they have that homebase of assassins. Masonry started off as a positive force but got corrupted / infiltrated too.
We have Free Will so it gets complicated. The top tier Masons follow the Laws of Nature.
It's basically Common Sense vs Insane Asylum Escapees.

It's all common sense, Laws hold humanity back because it is too easily loop-holed with Quantum Syntax aka Mental Gymnastics; so the cunning get away with whatever they want. 'Getting even' is a primary function of Natural Law for example. Even then, sometimes punishments should be amplified. Child rapists / murderers should not be put down painlessly… some lifetime law-abiding citizens die much more painful deaths in old age. But also it is easy to mistake an innocent person as guilty sometimes. Hmm… long story short you'd need an All-Seeing Eye.
Maybe we can bring back the Gulags and put rapists / murderers there. If they die you bring them back to life so they can keep suffering as long as possible. Make it totally transparent with the public so it would deter demented crimes as much as possible. If it involves rape or murder of a child then make a Triple Gulag somehow. You'd have different layers of Gulag Hell.
I wouldn't even lose sleep over it, I'd lose more sleep knowing they got a quick death.
Extreme in general is lame. Centrist is the ideal state but sometimes you need to go Left or Right depending on the situation.
I dunno just think of it like Electron, Neutron, Proton. Just be 1 or the other depending on what is needed.
