Ukrainian command center destroyed – Moscow

The facility was targeted by a salvo of sea-launched cruise missiles, according to the Russian Defense Ministry

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Saturday that it has destroyed a major Ukrainian command center. Cruise missiles launched from the sea were used to target the facility, the ministry’s spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced during a media briefing.

“On the evening of April 28 of this year, Russia’s Armed Forces delivered a group strike with sea-based long-range precision weapons at the location of the commanding officers of Ukraine’s joint troops grouping ‘Kherson,’” Konashenkov stated, adding that the goal of the strike “had been achieved.” The official did not provide any estimates on potential Ukrainian casualties.

The strike comes as both sides in the ongoing conflict, which has been raging since February 2022, have seemingly ramped up long-range attacks against each another. Earlier this week, Russia launched a cruise missile salvo targeting groupings of Ukrainian military reserves. The strikes successfully prevented their redeployment towards the frontline, according to the Russian military.

As a result of the attack a multistory residential building was damaged in the Ukrainian city of Uman, located in the central Cherkasy Region. It was not immediately clear what exactly struck the building, given the many instances of Ukrainian air defense projectiles having hit civilian sites in the country and even beyond. Nevertheless, Kiev squarely blamed Russia for the incident, which left more than 20 civilians dead, according to local officials.

Ukrainian forces, meanwhile, appear to have intensified attacks on residential areas in the Russian city of Donetsk, which has seen almost daily shelling throughout the conflict. On Friday, the city and its vicinity were subjected to particularly intense shelling, which left at least nine civilians dead and over a dozen injured. The attacks destroyed multiple residential homes and damaged a local hospital. Kiev’s forces also landed a direct hit on a passenger bus, killing all of its occupants.

The uptick in strikes comes ahead of an expected Ukrainian counteroffensive, long-advertised by the country’s top officials. On Friday, President Vladimir Zelensky said he expected the offensive to be “successful,” dismissing Western concerns over Ukraine’s capabilities that have appeared in several media outlets in recent weeks.

“A counteroffensive will happen. We are preparing for it,” Zelensky said in an interview with several Nordic media outlets. “I strongly believe that it will be successful and that we will de-occupy our territories.”

Ukrainian Kamikaze Drones Blow Up Crimean Fuel Depot, 'Answering' Yesterday's Air Strikes

The day after Russia mounted large-scale airstrikes and cruise missile attacks on cities across Ukraine, drones penetrated Crimea air defenses on Saturday and blew up a fuel depot in the peninsula's main port of Sevastopol.

Home to Russia's Black Sea Fleet, the port city has throughout the war come under sporadic long-distance drone attacks from Ukraine, also as President Zelensky has continued to promised its "liberation".

Throughout much of Saturday a huge fire raged in the Kazachya Bay district of the city, with governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev first announcing on Telegram that "according to preliminary information, it was caused by a drone strike."

He also confirmed the fire's very large size, at "around 1,000 square meters" - as social media images and footage circulate showing a massive fireball and smoke cloud.

"There is no threat to civilian infrastructure," he said of the attack which resulted in no fatalities or injuries. Later in the day the fire was reported to be under control and contained by emergency responders.

Zelensky’s top adviser issues demands to China

Mikhail Podoliak threatened Beijing with economic ruin if it continues to “stand aside”

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s main adviser, Mikhail Podoliak, has claimed that China must follow the West’s position on Ukraine or “lose its influence, including economic influence.” Beijing has given no indication that it intends to take his advice.

“Now China has to make a choice,” Podoliak said on Ukraine’s Rada TV on Friday. “Either it works within the framework defined by international law, and then replaces Russia in the full sense of the word, or China continues to stand aside and then it will gradually lose its influence, including economic influence.”

Podoliak’s statement came two days after Zelensky and Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke by phone, their first known conversation since Russia’s military operation in Ukraine began last February. According to the Chinese side, Xi stressed that Beijing’s “core position” on the conflict is that “dialogue and negotiations are the only viable way out.”

The US has repeatedly called on China to condemn Russia over the conflict, which Beijing has refused to do. Instead, China and Russia have deepened their diplomatic and trade links, and officials from both countries have repeatedly condemned the US for attempting to impose what it calls a “rules-based international order” upon the world through military force and sanctions.

China and Russia have instead called for the construction of a multipolar system based on the rule of international law and respect for the UN charter. “Right now there are changes – the likes of which we haven’t seen for 100 years – and we are the ones driving these changes together,” Xi told Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last month.

Podoliak has attempted to drive a wedge between Moscow and Beijing before. Late last month he asked the Italian Corriere della Sera newspaper why China would “help Russia, which is experiencing the collapse of its civilization?”

“It would be an irreversible investment, and China is too pragmatic to make such mistakes," he added.

However, even if China were to break from Russia, it would still face a United States hostile to its interests. The Pentagon’s most recent National Defense Strategy lists countering the supposed “threat posed by China” as its number one priority, while Washington has blocked the sale of some semiconductor manufacturing hardware to China and rallied its Asian allies to shut Beijing out of this vital industrial sector.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has said on several occasions that he would use the US military to defend Taiwan – which China considers its territory – from a potential Chinese invasion.

Civilians injured by Israeli strikes – Syria

The attack was launched from the direction of Lebanon, a Syrian military source told state media

An Israeli air raid targeting Syria’s Homs region has left three civilians wounded, the Syrian Arab News Agency has reported. The military said it intercepted some of the incoming missiles, but that several found their targets.

Blasts erupted in Homs during the early hours of Saturday morning after “a number of missiles” rained down on the city and its surrounding area, SANA said, citing an unnamed military official, who said the strikes were launched from airspace over northern Lebanon.

The attack resulted in the “injury of three civilians, the ignition of a civilian gas tank, and the burning of a number of tanks and trucks,” the source added, also claiming that Syrian air defenses “intercepted the aggressor’s missiles and shot down some of them.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) did not confirm any operations on Saturday, in line with its usual policy to refrain from commenting on particular strikes. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has previously acknowledged launching “hundreds” of attacks on Syrian soil over the last decade, however, many of them against Iranian-backed forces assisting Damascus in its fight against jihadist rebel groups.

The IDF has also accused Syria’s military of working with Lebanese militant organization and political party Hezbollah, which it claims poses a threat to Israel.

Syrian media outlets have reported several Israeli strikes this month, including shelling near the border with the occupied Golan Heights on Monday, as well as an air raid in early April which was said to have killed two members of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The IRGC vowed retaliation, and a drone purportedly launched from Syria was later shot down by Israeli forces, the Times of Israel reported, citing a military source.

The IDF also claimed several rockets were fired from southern Syria days later, and that some landed on Israeli territory. While they caused no casualties or damage, the attack prompted artillery and drone strikes in retaliation.

Saturday’s attack on Homs came just hours after Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian visited the Lebanese border with Israel, where he met with local officials, including some Hezbollah members. During the trip, the foreign minister said “positive developments” in the region would lead to the “collapse of the Zionist entity,” referring to Israel.

In a remarkable video, ABC News presented a pre-recorded interview with presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, telling viewers that parts of what was said had been edited out because he said something about the COVID vaccine that the news network disagrees with.

The interview was aired with clear edits made during parts where Kennedy spoke about his views on vaccines.

The interviewer Linsey Davis asked RFK Jr. about his belief that vaccination was linked to autism, which he began to explain before she jumped in and claimed that has all been debunked. The footage then skipped to a different topic entirely.

After the interview concluded, Davis told viewers “We should note that during our conversation, Kennedy made false claims about the Covid-19 vaccines.”

She claimed “Data shows that the Covid-19 vaccine has prevented millions of hospitalizations and deaths from the disease.”

“He also made misleading claims about the relationship between vaccination and autism,” Davis further asserted, adding “Research shows that vaccines and the ingredients used in the vaccines do not cause autism, including multiple studies involving more than a million children and major medical associations like the American Academy of Pediatrics and the advocacy group Autism Speaks.”

“We’ve used our editorial judgment in not including extended portions of that exchange in our interview,” Davis explained.

Film Screening of ‘Medical Genocide’ Shocks Audience at University of Delaware

The public film screening of a documentary in this city has raised awareness about forced organ harvesting in China, with audience members saying they were shocked to learn about such abuses.

The University of Delaware’s Rotaract Club hosted the screening of “Medical Genocide” at Trabant Theater on campus on April 26.

The documentary exposes the Chinese communist regime’s practice of forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience.

From around the globe, people in need of organ transplants have been flying to China for transplant operations, not realizing that prisoners of conscience are being murdered for the organs used.

The event was co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Community Action Against Human Trafficking and the Rotary Satellite Club to Stop Forced Organ Harvesting. A panel discussion was held after the screening.

Audience Response

Nearly 50 students and others saw the film and listened to the panelists. Some shared their feelings after the event, often expressing their willingness to do more to help stop this atrocity.

“I thought it was important to host the event here on campus,” said Chandana Elavarthi, a senior undergrad at the University of Delaware (UD) and medical diagnostics major who is with the Rotaract Club at the University of Delaware.

“I feel one of the most appalling things is. We’re always taught about medical ethics and being very aware of how you’re treating your patients. So it was scarring to see a lot of these doctors who are knowingly doing these, like murders in China,” she said.

Monica Elavarthi, in her second year of getting her MBA, said she had been unaware of the scale of the abuse.

“I was very surprised to see just the sheer number of the forced organ transplant that’s happening,’ she said.

“I’m glad that we were able to host this event. I’m hoping that we’re going to be able to host more events in the future to bring awareness to that too horrible crime.”

A senior English and linguistics major, Emily Lewie, said what has been occurring in China with forced organ harvesting is terrible.

“I had no idea that anything of that scale was going on anywhere in the world. And I was just shocked to hear that kind of thing happening. It was just awful,” she said.

Lewie added that she could help create awareness about organ harvesting in China through her writing.

Davern Whitehurst, a sophomore landscape architecture major, signed the petition to Stop Forced Organ Harvesting after the event.

5 Killed ‘Execution Style’ in Texas Home, Including 8-Year-Old

An 8-year-old child is among five victims found shot to death “execution style” in a Texas home by a neighbor after the family asked the man to stop firing his gun in his yard because they were trying to sleep, police said.

The incident took place in Cleveland, Texas, in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 29, San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said in a statement.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Trails End area of Cleveland in response to a harassment complaint.

“While enroute, the communications center received multiple 911 calls of an active shooter incident at the dispatch location,” Capers said.

“Multiple deputies arrived at the residence and located multiple victims deceased in a resident and several others in critical condition from multiple gunshot wounds,” he added.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, who remains at large.

Ten people were inside the home during the shooting and the victims range in age from 8 to 40, according to Capers, as cited by KHOU11.

“The suspect … we don’t believe him to be in the area,” Capers told the outlet, adding that the suspect is a Mexican male.

“He’s at least 10 to 20 miles away from here,” the sheriff added.

In a statement, Capers said that a SWAT team arrived on the scene and cleared several adjacent properties and determined that the suspect had fled the county.

The victims were from Honduras, he said.

“The Honduran ladies that were laying over these children were doing it in such an effort as to protect the child,” Capers said, according to The Associated Press.

Capers said that authorities had previously been called out to the suspect’s home and that deputies had spoken to him about shooting his gun in the yard.

Last night’s incident occurred after some of the victims approached the gunman and asked him to stop shooting in his yard.

“My understanding is that the victims, they came over to the fence and said ‘Hey could [you not do your] shooting out in the yard? We have a young baby that’s trying to go to sleep,’ and he had been drinking and he says ‘I’ll do what I want to in my front yard,’” Capers told KTRK.

Capers said in a statement that three others were injured in the incident and their condition is unknown.

“This is still a very fluid scene and an active investigation,” the sheriff said in the statement.

Cleveland is about 45 miles northeast of Houston.

The War on Free Speech Is Really a War on the Right to Criticize the Government

This is not unique to any particular presidential administration.

Absolutely, there is a war on free speech.

To be more accurate, however, the war on free speech is really a war on the right to criticize the government.

Although the right to speak out against government wrongdoing is the quintessential freedom, every day in this country, those who dare to speak their truth to the powers-that-be find themselves censored, silenced or fired.

Indeed, those who run the government don’t take kindly to individuals who speak truth to power.

In fact, the government has become increasingly intolerant of speech that challenges its power, reveals its corruption, exposes its lies, and encourages the citizenry to push back against the government’s many injustices.

This is nothing new, nor is it unique to any particular presidential administration.

For instance, as part of its campaign to eradicate so-called “disinformation,” the Biden Administration likened those who share “false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information” to terrorists. This government salvo against consumers and spreaders of “mis- dis- and mal-information” widens the net to potentially include anyone who is exposed to ideas that run counter to the official government narrative.

In his first few years in office, President Trump declared the media to be “the enemy of the people,” suggested that protesting should be illegal, and that NFL players who kneel in protest during the national anthem “shouldn’t be in the country.”

Then again, Trump was not alone in his presidential disregard for the rights of the citizenry, especially as it pertains to the right of the people to criticize those in power.

President Obama signed into law anti-protest legislation that makes it easier for the government to criminalize protest activities (10 years in prison for protesting anywhere in the vicinity of a Secret Service agent). The Obama Administration also waged a war on whistleblowers, which The Washington Post described as “the most aggressive I’ve seen since the Nixon administration,” and “spied on reporters by monitoring their phone records.”

Part of the Patriot Act signed into law by President George W. Bush made it a crime for an American citizen to engage in peaceful, lawful activity on behalf of any group designated by the government as a terrorist organization. Under this provision, even filing an amicus brief on behalf of an organization the government has labeled as terrorist would constitute breaking the law.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorized the FBI to censor all news and control communications in and out of the country in the wake of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Roosevelt also signed into law the Smith Act, which made it a crime to advocate by way of speech for the overthrow of the U.S. government by force or violence.

President Woodrow Wilson signed into law the Espionage and Sedition Acts, which made it illegal to criticize the government’s war efforts.

President Abraham Lincoln seized telegraph lines, censored mail and newspaper dispatches, and shut down members of the press who criticized his administration.

In 1798, during the presidency of John Adams, Congress passed the Alien and Sedition Acts, which made it a crime to “write, print, utter or publish … any false, scandalous, and malicious” statements against the government, Congress or president of the United States.

Clearly, the government has been undermining our free speech rights for quite a while now.

Glenn Youngkin Took $100k from an Alleged Chinese Foreign Agent

The donation isn't the first time that Glenn Youngkin has been implicated in Communist Chinese activity.

Virginia GOP Governor Glenn Youngkin took a $100,000 donation from Stephen A. Wynn, an alleged agent of Communist China.

Real estate developer and casino mogul Stephen “Steve” Wynn made the six-figure donation to Governor Youngkin on April 19th, 2023, as reported in campaign finance disclosures made available by the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP). According to a VPAP overview of Youngkin’s war chest, the Spirit of Virginia PAC has received more than $10.4 million in donations since 2021, often from out-of-state benefactors.

In 2017, Youngkin donor Steve Wynn was reportedly lobbying President Trump to deport anti-Communist Chinese dissent Miles Guo from the United States so that he could face punishment from the Chinese Communist Party, a request that President Trump denied.

In 2022, he was sued by the US Department of Justice for failing to register as a foreign agent of Communist China under the Foreign Agent Registration Act after refusing to do so and insisting that his pro-China lobbying efforts did not make him a foreign agent or a foreign lobbyist.

“The Department of Justice today filed a civil enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeking to compel Stephen A. Wynn, a U.S. businessperson and hotelier who previously served as the CEO of Wynn Resorts, to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) as the agent of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and a senior official of the PRC’s Ministry of Public Security (MPS),” a DOJ statement, dated May 22nd, 2022 reads.

“Wynn was advised to register as an agent by the department but declined to do so,” the statement revealed.

Months later, in October of 2022, Wynn’s case was dismissed by a federal judge, who accepted Wynn’s argument that because he hadn’t worked on behalf of China and its communist government since 2017, the DOJ could not retroactively force him to register as a foreign agent.

The news of Youngkin’s six-figure donation from an alleged Chinese foreign agent isn’t the first time that the Virginia Governor has been linked to the CCP.

As previously reported by National File, in 2019 and 2020, the two years prior to his run for Governor of Virginia, Youngkin joined Chinese Communist Party members, and the World Economic Forum, in Davos, Switzerland, for the WEF’s annual globalist summit.

Ex-CIA Moscow station chief reveals why he refused to sign Hunter Biden laptop ‘disinfo’ letter

A former Moscow station chief for the CIA revealed on Friday that he was given the chance to sign onto a letter attacking The Post’s bombshell report on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop as possibly Russian disinformation — but he ultimately refused.

Daniel Hoffman told Fox News on Friday that he was presented with the letter, which ended up being signed by 51 top US intelligence officials, on Oct. 18, 2020, but didn’t sign it because there was “no evidence” of Russian involvement.

“[A]t first glance, it seemed natural to lay the blame at the Kremlin’s doorstep,” Hoffman said during an interview on “America Reports.” “Remember, Vladimir Putin is in the Kremlin and he’s well-known for cloak-and-dagger espionage operations. But at the same time, there was no evidence. And the letter noted there was no evidence.”

Hoffman explained that the arguments presented in the speculative letter were “convoluted” and would need to be scrutinized by an investigatory agency such as the FBI before being considered credible.

“It was not up to us to speculate. So I didn’t sign the letter. I typically don’t put my name to other people’s words,” he said.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) revealed last week that former CIA Acting Director Michael Morell testified before his panel that he drafted the letter and that Secretary of State Antony Blinken – a Biden campaign adviser back in 2020 – was the “impetus” behind the attempt to discredit The Post’s reporting.

Hoffman said Friday that when Morell showed him the letter his now-late wife was undergoing cancer treatment and he didn’t have the time to ask Morell “what the point was about the letter.”

“So I just left it and didn’t sign the letter and didn’t respond,” he added.

Hoffman noted that standard procedure for a case like the one involving the first son’s laptop would be to meet with Morell in order to “hash out all the evidence that we had.”

“Then Michael would draw analytical conclusions with some level of confidence – low, medium or high – and bring it to the White House. We didn’t have that debate about this laptop issue. We weren’t invited to debate it,” Hoffman said.

Hoffman speculated that some of the other officials that signed onto the letter might not have known that Morell had discussed the matter with the Biden campaign beforehand.

“The part that I didn’t know – and I’m assuming that my former colleagues who signed the letter probably didn’t know either – was that Michael Morell had discussed the laptop issue with then campaign adviser Tony Blinken,” he said.

RFK Jr. Says ‘Mega-Billionaires’ Are Using Climate Change To Usher In ‘Totalitarian Controls’ On Society

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Friday that “mega-billionaires” like Bill Gates are using climate change to implement “totalitarian controls on society.”

“Climate issues and pollution issues are being exploited by, you know, the World Economic Forum and Bill Gates and all of these big, you know, mega-billionaires, the same way that COVID was exploited, to use it as an excuse to clamp down top-down totalitarian controls on society,” Kennedy told Talk show host Kim Iversen.

The World Economic Forum took place in January, with many world leaders and top business executives arriving at Davos, Switzerland, for panel discussions and speeches. Speakers at Davos have touted cities where people didn’t need cars, claimed the world did not need “growth or development,” called for censorship and demanded commitments from government and business to achieve “net-zero” carbon emissions.

“They’ve given climate chaos a bad name, you know, because people now see that it’s just another crisis that’s being used to strip mine the wealth of the poor and to, you know, to enrich billionaires and I for 40 years, have had the same policy on climate and engineering, you can go check my speeches from the 1980s and I’ve said, the most important solution for environmental issues, not top down controls is free market capitalism,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to launch his bid for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president in the 2024 campaign April 5, joining writer Marianne Williamson.

“What we have in this country now is not free market capitalism it’s corporate crony capitalism. It’s capitalist, it’s cushy kind of socialism for the rich and a brutal, barbaric, merciless capitalism for the poor,” Kennedy said.

Biden Admin Releases Migrants into South Texas — Again

The downtown streets of this South Texas border community are once-again awash with recently released migrants waiting to depart the border city to other parts of the country. Breitbart Texas interviewed several dozen migrants on Friday, all from Venezuela, who spoke of the long journey to the United States and the conditions suffered while waiting in Mexico for the end of the Title 42 COVID-19 expulsion authority.

Just-released migrants congregated outside the La Plaza Bus Terminal and a nearby charity shelter that receives the migrants directly from the Border Patrol. The migrants Breitbart Texas interviewed were mostly single adult male and female Venezuelan nationals. One Venezuelan woman, Daniela from Caracas, was with her young son. As they sat patiently on a downtown bench near the bus terminal, Daniela described her dire predicament.

The Venezuelan woman told Breitbart she was able to pay for one night’s stay at a hotel after her release from a Border Patrol holding facility. She feared immediate expulsion to Mexico under the COVID-19 emergency order but instead was released after a short stay in custody. Miguel, a 32-year-old Venezuelan national said he became separated from his Peruvian wife after they surrendered to the Border Patrol after crossing the Rio Grande. The couple met after Miguel fled from Venezuela more than four years ago. Miguel lived in Peru as a refugee due to the severe poverty in his hometown of San Carlos in Venezuela. As Miguel sat alone on the sidewalk, he explained he was waiting for his wife, who is being detained by the Border Patrol.

Miguel claims his wife’s status as a citizen of Peru means she will be processed differently than him. He hopes he will be reunited with her upon her release. He did not know for sure what her fate would be. He claims the Venezuelan migrants are kept separate from other nationalities while in custody and men are separated from the women even if they are married.

Miguel described the months-long journey from the southern border of Mexico and the delay in receiving authorization to travel through Mexico from Mexico’s National Institute of Migration (INM). Miguel told Breitbart Texas he was robbed by law enforcement officers in Mexico City and left with no funds to purchase food or shelter as he and his wife traveled across Mexico to the United States.

Minnesota bill normalizing pedophilia dropped after backlash

I’m not quite sure whether the bill is totally dead or not, because nothing is until the legislature adjourns. We do know that the GOP managed to get the language normalizing pedophilia stripped out of the bill in a vote yesterday.

Whether the language comes back or not, it is clear is that the pressure is on and the Chief Author of the bill is feeling the heat and the Republicans in the Minnesota House, who apparently hadn’t noted the change to the definition of “sexual orientation” to remove the exclusion for pedophilia, have grown a backbone.

First a reminder of what State Rep. Leigh Finke is trying to do. I described the bill in this post, so I will summarize the effort quickly.

The changes to the Minnesota Human Rights bill would redefine gender and strike a provision that specifically excluded attraction to minors as a sexual orientation, implicitly making pedophiles a protected class. Finke is claiming that was not the intent, but it is in both the bill and the bill description provided by Minnesota House Research.

The bill explicitly strikes the provision in current law that states: “Sexual orientation” does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by adults.” This, in plain language, means that if this amendment to the law passes then “Sexual orientation” may include a physical or sexual attachment to children by adults.

Pretty obvious, right? Not hard to see the intent, and the bill description by House Research makes it clear: “sections removed that allow for discrimination based on sexual orientation.” This means pedophilia will now be considered a sexual orientation that is protected.

Q.E.D.

Finke rightly points out that pedophilic acts would remain illegal, but that is not the point. Pedophiles themselves will be protected from discrimination.

The bill also repeals provisions that allow nonprofits to discriminate based on beliefs and prevent sex differentiation.

Hunter Biden’s Lawyer Controls Entity with 10% Stake in Chinese State-Backed Investment Fund

Kevin Morris, Hunter Biden’s lawyer, controls an entity with a ten percent stake in BHR Partners, a Chinese state-backed investment fund founded just days after Hunter and President Joe Biden visited China in 2013, a source confirmed Friday to Breitbart News.

After pressure increased on Hunter Biden to divest from BHR Partners due to a conflict of interest upon Joe Biden assuming the White House, Hunter Biden’s lawyer told the New York Times in the fall of 2021 that his client “no longer holds any interest, directly or indirectly in either BHR or Skaneateles.”

Skaneateles LLC, the entity which owns ten percent of BHR Partners, according to Chinese public records from Baidu, was controlled by Hunter as the sole governor until its dissolution in September 2021, a Washington, DC, registration indicated.

But new documents obtained by Breitbart News, first revealed by nonprofit Marco Polo, show the control of Skaneateles LLC is being held by Kevin Morris, Hunter’s top attorney, who also paid Hunter’s IRS debts.

In a document entitled, “AMENDED AND RESTATED JOINT VENTURE CONTRACT of BHR PARTNERS (SHANGHAI) EQUITY INVESTMENT FUND MANAGEMENT CO., LTD. A FOREIGN-FUNDED ENTERPRISE,” Kevin Morris is listed as the Managing Member of Skaneateles LLC.

The document shows Skaneateles LLC holds a ten percent stake in BHR Partners, equivalent to $3 million.

Breitbart News also obtained a copy of an email with the subject line, “Signing Instructions,” sent by a BHR Partners’ company email address from the name Heng-Yin Zhang to Jimmy Bulger, who is a Biden family longtime business partner. Hunter Biden previously was a BHR Partners board member with Bulger.

Bulger’s firm, Thornton Group LLC, is deeply connected with business in China. Thornton Group LLC is also listed in the agreement, the document shows.

“We have mailed you the documents for signing (Fedex tracking no.: 8137 6269 8141 0448). We would like to share with you the signing instructions of the documents in the order of their placements inside the envelope we send to you,” an email reads to Bulger from Heng-Yin Zhang, an individual with a BHR Partners’ email address.

Breitbart News confirmed and authenticated the venture contract and the “Signing Instructions” email with a source with knowledge of the transaction. In addition, the source confirmed “Kevin Morris is the ‘managing partner’ of Skaneateles, LLC’ and that ‘Skaneateles has a 10 percent stake in the [BHR] venture.'”

“Yes, sir. Confirmation is correct,” the individual with knowledge of the transaction told Breitbart News.

Judge shreds Soros-backed prosecutor, moves to hold her in criminal contempt: ‘Rudderless ship of chaos‘

Kimberly Gardner under fire for repeated no-shows in court as office struggles with staffing

A Missouri judge on Thursday moved to hold a George Soros-bankrolled prosecutor in "indirect criminal contempt" after she and her subordinates failed to show up for multiple court dates, lambasting her office as a "rudderless ship of chaos."

Judge Michael Noble announced he will appoint a special prosecutor to oversee the contempt case against St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, the city's top prosecutor, and Assistant Circuit Attorney Chris Desilets after no one from Gardner's office appeared at a trial and subsequent hearing in an assault case involving the wounding of an 11-year-old girl.

"It appears that Ms. Gardner has complete indifference and a conscious disregard for the judicial process," Noble said during a hearing to address the no-shows. "There is sufficient evidence of disdain and disrespect for the judicial process to determine that both Ms. Gardner and Mr. Desilets' conduct support a finding of indirect criminal contempt. Furthermore, any attorney's violation of a court's order constitutes an intentional disobedience and shows a clear intent to disregard the power and authority of the judicial system process."

The contempt case comes as Gardner, already mired in allegations of negligence and misconduct, is facing a legal effort by Missouri's attorney general to fire her for allegedly neglecting her duties. Gardner is one of the first progressive prosecutors whom Soros, a liberal billionaire and Democrat mega-donor, bankrolled in 2016 and again for her re-election in 2020. She announced last month that she'll seek a third term.

Noble began Thursday's hearing by noting that Gardner wasn't there and sent Assistant Circuit Attorney Rob Huq as her designee. However, Huq struggled to answer questions about the assault case when questioned by Noble.

"I asked for a designee, but you sent someone who didn't have the ability to stand in Ms. Gardner's shoes," said Noble.

The assault case over which Gardner may be held in contempt concerns suspect Steven Vincent Jr., who faces nine charges, including first-degree assault, after police say he shot a gun in a St. Louis neighborhood and hit an apartment building. Bullets went through the wall and one struck an 11-year-old girl who was sitting in her bedroom.

Vincent's trial was supposed to begin April 10, but Desilets didn't appear. Another prosecutor told Noble at the time that Desilets had to miss court for a doctor’s appointment. The judge then asked Desilets to appear in court for a hearing on Monday, April 24, with proof of the doctor's appointment and to reschedule the start of trial. However, Desilets didn't show up then either, prompting Noble to summon Gardner or a designee, as well as Desilets, to appear at Thursday's hearing.

Desilets explained that he hadn't been there on Monday because he had had to handle business in front of another judge that morning, adding that once he had finished and gone to Noble's courtroom, no one was there. When asked why he hadn’t informed the court that he would be late, Desilets said that all attorneys in the St. Louis circuit are routinely late bouncing among multiple courts, adding that "every lawyer is late to a division every day, unless he's unemployed."

China’s Middle East Envoy Visits Syria, Holds Meeting With President Al-Assad

On April 29, China’s Special Envoy for the Middle East, Zhai Ju, arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on an official visit.

The Syrian Arab News Agency said that the Chinese envoy held talks with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, before meeting with President Bashar al-Assad.

The central topic during the meeting between al-Assad and Jun was the common perceptions of the bilateral relations between Syria and China within the larger landscape of China’s relationship with the countries of the Middle East and its vital role throughout this region, the state-run agency reported.

During the meeting, the Syrian president pointed out that the most significant positive change in the world had been growing the Chinese role, noting that Beijing is rising in a “calm and balanced way”.

Al-Assad added that the entire world today needs China’s, both politically and economically to rebalance the global situation.

From his side, Jun said that China views its relations with Syria from a “strategic perspective,” adding that Damascus victory against terrorism is a victory to “all countries that value their sovereignty and dignity.”

“Beijing will stand with Syria in international forums in word and deed in defense of truth and justice, and will support its battle against hegemony, terrorism and external interference,” the envoy said.

Jun also welcomed the recent rapprochement between Syria and several Arab countries, including Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.

The visit came as Syria is working to restore its seat in the Arab League, which was frozen when the first first broke out in the country more than a decade ago, and negotiating a settlement with Turkey, a main backer of the rebels.

China has been working to increase its political engagement in the Middle East. Very recently, Beijing helped broker a breakthrough agreement that saw Saudi Arabia and Iran restoring bilateral relations. It is possible that China wants to join in with Russia and play a more active role in Syria’s ongoing talks with Arab countries and Turkey.

An Amazing Coincidence! Three Conservative Supreme Court Justices Under Investigation for Ethics

I am not a conspiracy monger. Readers of my work know that I take a dim view of trying to explain what happens in the world as some sort of organized or even generalized plot to discredit/destroy the right or its personalities.

The world is far too messy to be so organized about anything. But the human brain is a wonderful mechanism for ordering the world. We are born to see patterns around us; cloud formations as animals or other illusions that are beautiful but irrelevant. But just because it seems organized doesn’t mean it is.

Essentially, you can’t take outcomes as evidence of conspiracy. But isn’t it interesting that within a matter of a few days, three conservative Supreme Court judges have been reported to have ethics problems?

One helluva coincidence.

Associate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has a rich friend who likes to treat him and his lovely wife to expensive trips to luxury resorts. Would that the rest of us were so lucky. But Thomas violated the unwritten rule that justices need to act as Caesar’s wife: above suspicion.

The Nation thinks that what Thomas did is a hanging offense — or, at least, impeachable.

The relevant question, it would seem, is not whether Thomas is plausibly guilty, but whether the Democrats have the political courage to do anything about it. That’s a test congressional Democrats have already failed once—and at a time when the party had sufficient control of the House to easily approve articles of impeachment.

OK, so a 6-3 conservative majority becomes a 5-4 majority when Biden gets to name a flaming radical for a judge.

So why stop there? Jane Roberts, wife of Chief Justice John Roberts is a successful legal recruiter and was apparently paid $10.3 million in commissions from top-level law firms — a couple of which may have had business before the high court.

That eye-popping figure comes from records in a whistleblower complaint filed by a disgruntled former colleague of Roberts, who says that as the spouse of the most powerful judge in the United States, the income she earns from law firms who practice before the Court should be subject to public scrutiny.

“When I found out that the spouse of the chief justice was soliciting business from law firms, I knew immediately that it was wrong,” the whistleblower, Kendal B. Price, who worked alongside Jane Roberts at the legal recruiting firm Major, Lindsey & Africa, told Insider in an interview. “During the time I was there, I was discouraged from ever raising the issue. And I realized that even the law firms who were Jane’s clients had nowhere to go. They were being asked by the spouse of the chief justice for business worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and there was no one to complain to. Most of these firms were likely appearing or seeking to appear before the Supreme Court. It’s natural that they’d do anything they felt was necessary to be competitive.”

Jane Roberts is good at her job, and this is a problem? Unless you believe Mr. and Mrs. Roberts engage in the most boring pillow talk in history, there’s nothing to see here. Move along. It’s an idiotic attack with no basis to accuse Mrs. Roberts regarding ethics or the law.

Finally, Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch is in a spot of trouble for selling some property he owned in Colorado to the chief executive of Greenberg Traurig, one of the largest and most influential law firms in the country.

Gorsuch disclosed the money he made on the sale with his two partners — between $250,000 and $500,000 on his disclosure form. But he neglected to write down that it was the CEO of Greenberg Traurig who bought it.

In addition, a Denver-based lawyer for Greenberg represented North Dakota in what became one of the more highly publicized rulings in recent years, a multistate suit which reversed former President Barack Obama’s plan to fight climate change through the Clean Air Act.

Gorsuch joined the court’s other five conservative judges in agreeing with the plaintiffs — including Greenberg’s client — that the Environmental Protection Agency had overstepped its authority by regulating carbon emissions from power plants in the decision that makes it more difficult for the executive branch to regulate emissions without express authorization from Congress.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese gets bombarded by hecklers during trip to Hobart, Tasmania on Saturday

It appears not every Tasmanian is pleased with Anthony Albanese's pledge to invest $240 million towards a new stadium in Hobart as the Prime Minister cops some heated remarks.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been swarmed by hecklers in Tasmania after confirming he will invest $240 million towards a major precinct at Hobart's Macquarie Point.

Mr Albanese travelled to Hobart to announce the funding on Saturday morning, as part of the government's commitment to build a long awaited stadium in Tasmania's capital city.

During the press conference, the Prime Minister was asked about his attendance at Kyle Sandilands' wedding when one heckler brutally interrupted.

"Let's talk about housing Prime Minister," the heckler yelled out.

Mr Albanese responded, saying "I think you’ve had your say".

"I haven’t, you’re having your say in the back of a sewage work where no one knows what's going on," the heckler yelled back.

"This is such a huge development in Tasmania, here we are stuck in this tiny little spot in the back of a sewage to make an announcement about all this money."

Mr Albanese made every effort not to react, with a brief "thanks" before moving on to speak about Sandilands' wedding which will kick off on Saturday afternoon.

During his visit to Hobart, footage shows a group of hecklers bombarding the Prime Minister as he walked through the city of Hobart.

It appeared several Tasmanians were not pleased by the announcement, holding up signs that accused the Prime Minister of spending money on a stadium rather than on homes amid a housing crisis across the nation.

"We need homes not a stadium," one sign read.

"I love footy and being able to afford to live," another read.

Mormon church to pay out $2.3 BILLION to California woman in sex abuse case

The Riverside Superior Court ordered the plaintiff $836 million in damages and $1.44 billion in punitive damages.

A 39-year-old woman who was sexually abused by her stepfather for years as a child has been awarded $2.28 billion by the Riverside Superior Court in a criminal case that also named the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Los Angeles Times reports.

According to court documents, the woman who is referred to as "Jane Doe" was sexually abused by her stepfather from the ages of 5 to 14, and named her mother as complicit. The assaults, which led to the plaintiff to be "on the brink of suicide," occurred at their family home on Lake Elsinore and at their local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints property, the lawsuit said.

Court documents state that Jane Doe reported the sexual abuse to both her mother and church officials, including local bishops. The church retaliated against her by using "shaming and intimidation tactics" to silence her from telling authorities outside the church. Church officials refused to report the allegations because it was in violation of policy, according to the suit, AP reports.

In 1997, the stepfather was arrested after Jane Doe noticed that he was staring at girls "inappropriately" on her basketball team, which led to her striking the courage to disclose the abuse to her coach who then reported the abuse to authorities.

According to the lawsuit, her stepfather pleaded guilty to committing lewd acts with a child under age 14 and spent three years in state prison.

The church, who was also named in the lawsuit, denied any wrongdoing but settled for $1 million in December. Jane Doe's mother settled for $200,000 in February, according to AP.

'Transabelism': Latest trans trend sees people identifying as disabled

"In my opinion, both transgender and transabled persons suffer from a delusional disorder," said Jane Orient, the executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.

According to the New York Post, Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) is now being labeled as transableism to better align it with the transgender community.

The report goes on to point out that the change in label would be from a diagnosable psychiatric condition to an advocacy term as moving from BIID to "transable" allows people using the twem to "harness the stunning cultural power of gender ideology" and opening the door for doctors to "amputate healthy limbs" in an effort to "treat" patients.

BIID is defined by the National Library of Medicine as "the extremely rare phenomenon of persons who desire the amputation of one or more healthy limbs or who desire a paralysis," they note that "Some of these persons mutilate themselves; others ask surgeons for an amputation or for the transection of their spinal cord.”

They continue that "Neurological results suggest that BIID is a brain disorder producing a disruption of the body image, for which parallels for stroke patients are known."

According to WebMD there is a strong link to gender identity disorder. They state, "BIID is linked to chronic dysphoria, with those affected feeling like their bodies are not what they should be. In severe cases, people with BIID will go to extreme lengths to amputate or disable themselves without medical help."

While BIID is still relatively rare, estimated to be several thousand people with the disease, many fear this is the next step after transgenderism has become widely accepted. A National Review report noted that, "As the public begins to embrace people who identify as transgender, the trans people within the disability movement are also seeking their due, or at very least a bit of understanding in a public that cannot fathom why anyone would want to be anything other than healthy and mobile."

Jane Orient, the executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons said, "in my opinion, both transgender and transabled persons suffer from a delusional disorder" and "Mutilating the body is an objective harm even if it makes the patient subjectively feel better."
