Bill Clinton’s only daughter said banning sexually explicit books from schools is “harmful.”
Chelsea Clinton linked to an NBC News article reporting on the sexually explicit LGBT themed children’s books banned from libraries.
“In its annual book censorship report, the American Library Association documented 1,269 challenges to more than 2,500 books in 2022, the highest number of attempted book bans since the association began tracking such efforts in 2001. It was a 75% jump from 2021, which held the previous record.” NBC reported.
“Of the 13 books that made the ALA’s list of “Most Challenged Books” last year, seven titles — including three of the top four — were challenged for having LGBTQ content, the association found.” the outlet said.
Chelsea Clinton said porn books for children are a vital way for kids to learn about themselves.

On Friday, actor Matthew Lawrence said on his podcast Brotherly Love, co-hosted by his brothers and fellow actors Andrew and Joey Lawrence, both actors, that he was "propositioned to get a huge role" by a famous director to get a role in a Marvel movie.
"Whether it's another woman or another man in power, there's been many times in my life where I've been propositioned to get a huge role," Lawrence said. "I've lost my agency because I went to the hotel room—which I can't believe they would send me to—of a very prominent Oscar award-winning director, who showed up in his robe, asked me to take my clothes off and said he needed to take Polaroids of me and then if I did XY and Z I would be the next Marvel character."
"I didn't do that. And my agency fired me because I left this, this director's room," he added.
The actor noted that "a lot of other male friends" have gone through similar circumstances "with both men and women" and mentioned actor Terry Crews who came forward in 2017 with allegations of a sexual assault he suffered at the hands of a Hollywood power broker, reports the Washington Post.
43-year-old Lawrence, best known as one of the siblings in the Robin Williams vehicle Mrs. Doubtfire and for the sitcom Boy Meets World, made the comments after the brothers reflected on the #MeToo movement.

An Indiana Republican politician caused woke leftists to lose their minds when he reintroduced himself as a “woman of color” and “a lesbian” because he is attracted to women.
Earlier this month, Delaware County council member Ryan Webb posted a photo to his Facebook account showing him with a pistol in his waistband. The caption read “Ready for an awesome day! Hope everyone has a great day!”
The “awesome day” he was referring was him “coming out” as a black, transgender female.
The Muncie Star-Press reported Webb posted the following message:
After much consideration I have decided to come out and finally feel comfortable announcing my true authentic self, It is with great relief that I announce to everyone that I identify as a woman and not just any woman but as a woman of color as well. I guess this would make me gay/lesbian as well, since I am attracted to women.
Last Tuesday, hordes of woke leftist students stormed the city council meeting and demanded Webb resign. One student whined that Webb was making the process of discovering who is trans more difficult.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Voices Opposition to Transgender Athletes in Women’s Sports
Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Saturday that he opposed transgender athletes competing in women’s and girls’ sports.
During an interview with CNN’s Michael Smerconish on Saturday, Kennedy was asked about males competing against females in women’s sports. The 69-year-old son of former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his presidential candidacy earlier in April.
“I would, I think that I am against people participating in women’s sports who are biologically male,” Kennedy said. “I think women have worked too hard to develop … women’s sports over the past 30 years. I watched it happen. And I don’t think that’s fair.”
With his comments, Kennedy is one of only a few Democratic officials or candidates who have publicly signaled opposition to transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports.
It comes as the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act several days ago, effectively barring educational institutions that receive federal funding from allowing male athletes to compete in women’s sports. No Democrats backed the bill, but 10 refused to cast a vote.
But President Joe Biden said that he would veto the bill if it reaches his desk, and it’s unlikely the Democrat-controlled Senate would pass the measure.
A Biden administration proposal that was unveiled earlier this month would disallow colleges and schools from placing outright bans on transgender athletes. A number of state legislatures across the United States have passed such bans in recent months.
“The criteria also would have to minimize harm to students whose opportunity to participate on a male or female team consistent with their gender identity would be limited or denied,” the Department of Education said in its proposal this month.
The topic became of national interest after Lia Thomas, born a male, became the NCAA Division I swimming champion. The issue was again thrust into the spotlight following the recent attack targeting Riley Gaines, a former Kentucky collegiate swimmer who had competed against Thomas.

NBC reports Bed Bath and Beyond Prepares for Store Closings
"Thank you to all of our loyal customers," Bed Bath & Beyond said in a message posted to social media on Monday. "We have made the difficult decision to begin winding down our operations. Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy BABY stores remain open to serve you."
According to the retailer's website, "deep discount" store closing sales are expected to begin in stores and online beginning Wednesday, and "all purchases during our store closing sales will be final."
According to the retailer, Bed Bath & Beyond websites, along with 360 brick-and-mortar stores and 120 buybuy BABY locations will "remain open and continue serving customers as the Company begins its efforts to effectuate the closure of its retail locations."
In Illinois, only eight Bed Bath & Beyond stores remain open, along with five buybuy BABY stores. Earlier this year, Bed Bath & Beyond announced closures of 19 stores across Illinois, many of them in the Chicago area.

CNN reports One in four brides wear David’s Bridal to their wedding. Now, it’s filing for bankruptcy
“An increasing number of brides are opting for less traditional wedding attire, including thrift wedding dresses,” David’s Bridal said in a bankruptcy filing. “These shifting consumer preferences have significantly exacerbated” the company’s financial crunch.
“The demand for formal wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and related accessories has decreased substantially in the current environment,” the company said in its filing.
David’s Bridal will keep its nearly 300 stores and website operating and fulfill all customer orders as it searches for a buyer for the company. It will also honor gift cards, returns and exchanges. But if David’s Bridal is not able to find a buyer, it could have to close all stores and liquidate.
The company has around 10,000 full and part-time employees, but last week it said it was laying off 9,000 workers.
David’s Bridal, the successor to a bridal retailing business that began as a single bridal salon in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in 1950, said approximately 25% of brides in the United States wear one of its gowns at their wedding.
