I recently had a spirited exchange with a scripted actor along a similar subject line. Broke his script, I think. Ninja Team knows what I am talking about.
Anyway - the thing is that you are effectively trying to justify thuggery with thuggery. The U.S. is a different animal from SA. Things are changing. Perhaps not exactly as fast as we would like or in the exact way we think it should be happening, but things are changing. To commit to violence or revolt because we are just not getting our way is simple thuggery. And even though I can't choose to suppress that revolt in this instance, should it become the case, I would not consider those who pushed for it under these circumstances to be any better than the cabal, and would regard them the same after power shifted away from the cabal.
It's the same pattern of thought, just from different relative states of power.
