Here is something. A White House Correspondent went to her doctor today for a normal checkup and everything was great. The doctor and the nurses did their job. But as she was leaving, all of them came to her and asked, please tell us about Simon. How is he doing? My friend who could not wait to call me before getting to her car, told me, oh wow! I did not realize you had become famous and your name had gone to all corners of the country. She told me she did not expect that doctors and nurses would be asking her about me.
Despite the divisions, Americans are good people. They know that there are many people like me out there who don't sit in the front row at the White House, who don't fly on Air Force One with the President, who get broke but keep pushing, who refuse to give up or become bitter, who continue to push on despite the disrespect by @PressSec and who still show up when @tamarakeithNPR and her @whca colleagues kick them out.
For Americans watching at home, they know when something is not right. You can justify it if you want but they know when you are treating someone right. So thank you to the doctors, the nurses, the farmers, the students and everyone who silently resents what is going on. May God help us.
