There are a number of past threads on it, but without going through the math and animal size conversions, it's basically to get into the human dosage range found most effective by the field hospitals in India and elsewhere, just double the horse dose for your weight. If you weigh 100 kgs, use the metered dose for 200 kg of horse, or scale it according to your actual weight. If it's basic prophylaxis, dosing monthly seems to work well, if you're fighting it, maybe doing weekly for a couple weeks, then biweekly, then monthly.

It's a potent antiviral, so there's a good chance it would. You might want to look for some studies if they haven't been pulled. I know it knocks out an especially lethal form of calcivirus in feral cats that is almost invariably fatal. It's safe enough to hand out over-the-counter in a huge part of the world, so you might as well give it a try.
