Has this immense volume of work been in notables yet? There are some great graphics and interactive tools covering everything from sealed/unsealed indictments by state and date to your congress critters contact info.

This is a hell of a body of work and deserves more attention than I've seen.

>Yep, reminds me of all those reports of Toyatas with sticky accelerators around 10 years ago, they were beta testing.

Are we sure it was beta testing? Maybe those were targeted incidents and Toyota was made the fall guy? Now wouldn't that make an interesting lawsuit?

Anyone recall any notable persons as victims of the "sticky throttle" recall?

Follow on from a little digging.

"Unintended acceleration in Toyota vehicles may have been involved in the deaths of 89 people over the past decade, upgrading the number of deaths possibly linked to the massive recalls, the government said Tuesday.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that from 2000 to mid-May, it had received more than 6,200 complaints involving sudden acceleration in Toyota vehicles. The reports include 89 deaths and 57 injuries over the same period."

"The reports include 89 deaths and 57 injuries".

Well it seems that when things went bad they went really bad. The ration of deaths to injuries is WAY out of whack!

Still no luck finding a list of those killed. I do remember at least one police officer. Any anon's have better luck coming up with a list of victims and some of their info I'd sure like to dig into it. NHTSA website is shit, runs you around in circles.
