Over-the-counter sale of livestock antibiotics ends June 11, 2023.
Beginning June 11th antibiotics for livestock will no longer be available to purchase without a prescription from a licensed veterinarian. To obtain antibiotics under the new rule producers will need a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship. This relationship requires that veterinarian has seen the animals within the past 12 months.
