Jackson Mahomes arrested, booked into Johnson County jail on sexual battery warrant
Jackson Mahomes was arrested Wednesday morning on a warrant for aggravated sexual battery and booked into the Johnson County jail, records show.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mahomes about 7 a.m. and booked him into the jail at 7:42 a.m., according to the booking report. He was being held on a $100,000 bond.
The case listed in the booking report was not yet available from the Johnson County District Court. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Police previously confirmed they were investigating a Feb. 25 incident involving Mahomes at an Overland Park restaurant near West 151st Street and Metcalf Avenue where Mahomes was accused of assaulting a waiter and the owner of the business.
In separate incidents, Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, allegedly shoved a 19-year-old male waiter more than once and then forcibly kissed the 40-year-old female owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge, 6995 W. 151st St.
Police said they were reviewing the establishment’s surveillance video recordings from that night as part of their investigation, restaurant owner Aspen Vaughn previously told The Star.
An attorney for Mahomes previously contended that he did nothing wrong. The Star was not able to reach the attorney Wednesday morning.
“Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser including the statements of several witnesses. We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation so that they may have a complete picture of the matter,” Brandan Davies, Mahomes’ attorney, said in a statement in early March.
Vaughn and the waiter both relayed their experiences with Mahomes in interviews with The Star in early March.
Vaughn also provided The Star with a video that she said showed Mahomes grabbing her by the throat and kissing her at least twice in her office a little after 10 p.m.
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere,” she said, calling the advances unwelcome and shocking, adding that she thought he was intoxicated.

A $1 trillion platinum coin could save the US from economic catastrophe in less than a month. It would be fast, legal, and no bigger than a regular coin.
The US is hurtling towards an entirely preventable economic crisis, and a trillion-dollar coin could solve all of its problems — if the Biden administration decides to take it seriously.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that the government could run out of money to pay its debts as soon as June 1, triggering a never-before-seen debt-ceiling crisis. Even a short default could cost the country almost a million jobs and trigger a recession.
But Republicans and Democrats are still waiting for the other to blink. The House GOP narrowly passed a bill last week that would tie massive budget cuts to a one-year increase, which Senate Democrats have proclaimed dead on arrival. President Joe Biden said he would veto that legislation, and continues to insist upon a clean raise.
Enter the coin.
Some economists say that means it's time for a break-the-glass option: A trillion-dollar coin.
The coin — which doesn't need to be bigger than your average purse change, and can be made quickly — is part of a potential debt ceiling loophole. The Treasury Department can mint platinum coins of any denomination. That's led to a school of thought that says Yellen should simply mint a trillion-dollar platinum coin and deposit it to pay off the debts until a more permanent solution can be found.
"At this point, if any of the other solutions, the so-called more serious solutions would work, then they would've been used by now. But they keep not actually being strong enough. The coin's the only one that's strong enough," Rohan Grey, an assistant professor at Willamette University College of Law, told Insider.
To be sure, Biden's administration has not been so accepting of using a $1 trillion platinum coin to avoid an economically catastrophic default. Yellen, for example, dismissed the idea back in January, saying that it "is not by any means to be taken as a given that the Fed would do it, and I think especially with something that's a gimmick."
"The Fed is not required to accept it, there's no requirement on the part of the Fed," she added. "It's up to them what to do."
Brian Riedl, a senior fellow and economist at the conservative-leaning Manhattan Institute, told Insider that "the first problem with the trillion dollar coin is they would have to get past their own Treasury Secretary."
"There is a large chance the courts would shoot it down," Riedl said. "There's a large chance the Treasury Secretary would not be on board. The Federal Reserve may not be willing to accept the trillion dollar coin."
Grey said that the coin is a type of "messaging symbol." At the end of the day, he argued, it helps break through the noise, and show that a simple solution can be the best one. Yes, a trillion-dollar coin is silly, but would Biden "rather not look silly and hurt seniors and hurt Medicare than the other way around?"
Calls for the coin come as Biden aides reportedly look into whether the debt limit itself is constitutional, according to The New York Times.
Even if the coin isn't on the table, there could be yet another way to avoid a default while avoiding congressional drama. The Times reported on Tuesday that, according to people familiar with the discussions, officials in the White House, Treasury, and Justice Departments have floated invoking a clause in the 14th Amendment that could take care of the debt ceiling without lawmakers' approval.
The clause states that "the validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned." Some experts suggest that this could mean a default — and thus the debt ceiling — would be unconstitutional.
"Of course, the Biden administration is not only going to look into these constitutional options, but more importantly they're gonna signify to Republicans that they're looking at these extra legal and constitutional options as a threat to undercut the legitimacy of the Republican position," Riedl said.
Yellen has been critical of that route as well, saying in 2021 that she believes it is Congress' job to raise the debt ceiling.
"It's Congress's responsibility to show that they have the determination to pay the bills that the government amasses," she said. "We shouldn't be in a position where we need to consider whether or not the 14th Amendment applies. That's a disastrous situation that the country shouldn't be in."
With just 12 legislative days left in the House before June 1, the clock is ticking.

January is the first month (allegedly) which is also 1. where are you getting 116? Flipped 911.
Understand the need to keep highlighting the mental masturbation of the largest mass murder psyop that was 911, but ?
Where did I say she acted alone?
She was the Speaker. She was IN CHARGE of Capitol Police. It was HER job to call in reinforcements.
Now, remove your need to attempt to re-write what I said, to justify why you felt the need to "school" me, on a theory that I did not imply, Which was "she acted alone in it"
US sprinter, Olympic medalist Tori Bowie dies at 32
Tori Bowie, the sprinter who won three Olympic medals at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, has died. She was 32.
Bowie's death was announced Wednesday by her management company and USA Track and Field. No cause of death was given.
“USATF is deeply saddened by the passing of Tori Bowie, a three-time Olympic medalist and two-time world champion," USA Track and Field CEO Max Siegel said in a statement. "A talented athlete, her impact on the sport is immeasurable, and she will be greatly missed,”
Growing up in Sandhill, Mississippi, Bowie was coaxed into track as a teenager and quickly rose up the ranks as a sprinter and long jumper. She attended Southern Mississippi, where she swept the long jump NCAA championships at the indoor and outdoor events in 2011.
Bowie turned in an electric performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she won silver in the 100 and bronze in the 200. She then ran the anchor leg on a 4x100 team with Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix and English Gardner to take gold.
A year later, she won the 100 meters at the 2017 world championships in London. She also helped the 4x100 team to gold.
Bowie was taken in by her grandmother as an infant after she was left at a foster home. She considered herself a basketball player and only reluctantly showed up for track, but Bowie was a fast learner, becoming a state champion in the 100, 200 and long jump before going to college.
Her first major international medal was a 100-meter bronze at worlds in 2015. After winning, she said, “my entire life my grandmother told me I could do whatever I set my mind to.”
In a post on Twitter, Icon Management included a picture of Bowie holding up her hands in the shape of a heart. The management company wrote: “We’ve lost a client, dear friend, daughter and sister. Tori was a champion…a beacon of light that shined so bright! We’re truly heartbroken and our prayers are with the family and friends.”

Third Florida inmate, Darryl Barwick, will be executed today barring last-minute reprieve
Convicted murderer Darryl Barwick is poised to become the third inmate executed in the state of Florida in less than three months. Barwick is set to be executed at 6 p.m. ET Wednesday at Florida State Prison.
Barwick was found guilty of first-degree murder in November 1986 and sentenced to death two months later following the jury's 9-3 recommendation. He was also convicted of armed burglary, attempted sexual battery and armed robbery.
In 1986, Darryl Barwick was 19 years old when prosecutors say he saw a pretty, young woman sunbathing by the pool of her apartment complex in Panama City and followed her home.
Prosecutors say he had been watching her and went back to his house nearby to grab a knife and gloves before returning to 24-year-old Rebecca Wendt’s apartment.
Wendt and her sister, Michael Ann, had moved to the Florida Panhandle from Huron, Ohio. Michael Ann Wendt returned home from working in Fort Walton Beach that day in March to find her sister’s bloody, bathing suit-clad body wrapped in her bedroom comforter and left in the bathtub. She had been stabbed 37 times.

Is this a KC link? King Charles. King's Coronation?
11.3?
Kek they mention death…
King Charles has only been the monarch for eight months and is yet to be officially crowned – but what happens when he dies?
At the moment, Charles is clearly in good health at 74 years old. But, there’s a pretty strong chance that he will die and be laid to rest at some point in the future.
And when that occurs, what will happen to his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort? She is set to be crowned with him on Saturday – so does that mean she might get a chance at becoming the sovereign herself?
Here’s what you need to know.
What happens when Charles dies?
Immediately, the Operation Menai Bridge – a code name for the contingency plan in the event of Charles’s death – kicks in.
While the details are unclear, based on what happened in the 11 days between the Queen’s death and the moment she was officially laid to rest, the arrangements for Charles’s formal state funeral would start almost immediately.
In fact, royal protection officer Simon Morgan told Australian show “Today” back in September that the day after the queen’s funeral, Operation Menai Bridge preparation “will start in earnest.”
The U.K. government would be notified, followed by Commonwealth leaders, and a note would soon be attached to the gates of Buckingham Palace, with flags all around the country lowered to half mast.
The new monarch would automatically inherit the throne at the moment of Charles’s death.
And, after a period of national mourning, Charles would then be laid to rest in the “royal vault” in King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Who will succeed Charles?
Charles has only been the monarch since his mother Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September.
But, if something were to happen to the sovereign, the crown automatically passes to the next in line. That’s typically the monarch’s oldest child.
In this case, Prince William, 40, would inherit the throne – that’s why he now has the Prince of Wales title, a role usually reserved for the male heir apparent.
If something were to happen to William, the crown would pass to his eldest child Prince George, who is currently second-in-line to the throne.
But at just nine years old, that would clearly present a bit of a problem – he clearly couldn’t carry out the roles of a constitutional monarch before 18.
So, Prince Harry – the next adult in the line of succession, after George’s siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – would probably become Regent until his nephew was old enough.

I say it's a great time for the "Shutdown."
No raises in debt ceiling.
Just shut the whole thing down. End the Game.

> Most Christians have a huge trust issue that they trust blindly and do not ask questions
Bingo.
Because they teach, to ASK is to go AGAINST that which is taught.
Religion WAS Taught.
Cognitive Dissonance will be high with this subject for FEAR of Questioning that which was taught.
How do you keep people living in fear?
Yeah… just like that. Put it in a book that says anyone who questions is evil.
>I hate thinking this last book is predictive programming but the more I dig into what I thought the more the questions rise what are people exactly worshiping and why is Jesus so different in light of some alternative ways of looking at things like the OT and why the fuck are there a bunch of number magik things going on. Never question, never read another book.
Precisely.
Something struck me with regards to "Playbook Known." Whose "Playbook." Thinking it was always [THEIRS] since they have to tell us
