This story goes back over a decade, but reminds anon of a pattern with all vaccine products under the current US paradigm. When there is no civil liability and criminal behavior is not addressed then harms become "benefits" to the pharmaceutical companies. Case in point: Unaddressed accusations from whistleblowers about possible mumps vaccine fraud mean that an apparently failing vaccine gets used again and again, even when it does not prevent infection leading to repeated outbreaks among the vaccinated and cries for more doses!
