perhaps baker doesn't want someone to just "sign in" as a notetaker without asking if baker is looking for help with notes?

just thoughts from a baker who let a noter practice before under similar conditions

 

but no, it must be bakers hogging power like you've been saying all along

there are better ways to go about things, responding with hurt feelings usually doesn't get you far

 

"Hey baker, new note taker here looking for practice, mind if I drop some note buns along with yours to get the hang of the formatting and timing?"

all it takes, and is probably a better way to get positive feedback, rather than just claiming note duty

and you misunderstood

it wasn't an attack on you practicing notes

simply mentioning the way you went about it and then complain about the reaction from baker that appears to be the issue
