ANOTHER WANTED FUGITIVE FROM TRAILS END SUBDIVISION IN CLEVELAND-CONVICTED AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD

 

Last week the U.S. Marshals and Rob Freyer with the San Jacinto County District Attorneys Office were just blocks from where the mass murder suspect Francisco Oropesa resided. The reason, searching for Raul Ruiz Nunez, 66, of 361 Hicks Road in Cleveland who was sentenced on April 20th for aggravated sexual assault of a child after pleading guilty to the charge. He was sentenced to 11-years. The entire time from his over 3-years ago to his sentencing date he had been out on bond with no issues. After Judge Wells pronounced sentence, Ruiz attorney asked the court to allow him to go home and tie up some loose ends and get his affairs in order. After much discussion the Judge agreed to it with the stipulation he return to the San Jacinto County Jail on Monday April 24, 2023 by noon. Ruiz never returned. San Jacinto County Assistant District Attorney Rob Freyer said, “he is on the run, he is in the wind, we do not know where he is, we have dedicated resources prior to this murder happening in locating him.” The District Attorney’s Office is asking the public for assistance. Freyer said, “if you know where he is or have information on Ruiz , reach out to the Sheriff’s Office, any law enforcement agency, Multi-County Crime Stoppers or the U.S, Marshals. Officials say he is now facing additional charges and they believe his family had some involvement.
