>Anons from the heart of Bayou Country… can confirm the intensity of the heat/Humidity mix is different all along the Gulf
Lived in and around Houston, TX all my life. Never been afraid to get dirty nor would I ask anyone else to do a job I would not do or have not done myself.
Heat strokes are a normal occurrence for anyone who does not respect the heat and humidity that is a part of life living in this region.
When humidity is most stifling you can literally sense the water vapor thats suspended in the air. Which often becomes the rain fall. Which I imagine is similar to that which occurs in rainforest.
Often I must use a squeegee on the garage floor to remove the water that condensates on the concrete surface only to have it return a minute later.
If you’ve never removed your shirt and physically twisted it with your hands as you would a wash rag or towel that’s absorbed an abundance of water. Then you’ve never experience wat it truly means to sweat your ass off.
With that being said I cannot imagine incarnating to any other place than where I have come. I am a Texan first and an American second.
