For 4 long years the Red Army was the only one fighting the German Wehrmacht in Europe during WWII. The plan was to let Hitler defeat Russia and then double-cross him and take him out. But the Red Army, with their backs to the wall, the Wehrmacht 40 km from the center of Moscow turned the tide and then went on the offensive after 2 years of being defeated and millions upon millions dead. The Wehrmach suffered 80% of of their killed in action on the Eastern Front. And (look it up) at the battle of the Kursk Salient the Red Army destroyed 2 of the Wehrmacht armies. Then it was a straight line of Red Army victories and the Wehrmacht defeats the rest of the land war.
As Joe Stalin said: FDR promised to land an army in France in 1943 and I think he will keep his word. But it doesn't matter. With or without the Americans we will destroy the Wehrmacht. FDR (and the rest of the West) didn't put an army in France in 1943. He did in 1944 (a year later) when he knew the Red Army had won the war, it was just a matter of time.
D-Day wasn't needed. Ponder that for a few minutes.

The one thing that I learned that I haven't been taught is after the Red Army took Berlin and hoisted the hammer & sickle flag on the capitol building they DID NOT GO HOME. The Red Army went to the Far East and fought the Japanese. They were still fighting when the Japanese surrendered to the U.S. There are stories that the Japanese negotiated to surrender to the Americans because they did not want to admit that it was the Red Army which finally defeated them. Now, don't take this wrong. It is a battle (maybe the final one) between Good and evil, Between God & satan fought by men in their names. Donald J. Trump has been appointed to fight for God.
