Waiting for a jury decision on a False Accusation where I, despite being a current political candidate and leading all others in both parties, am not allowed to speak or defend myself, even as hard nosed reporters scream questions about this case at me. In the meantime, the other side has a book falsely accusing me of Rape, & is working with the press. I will therefore not speak until after the trial, but will appeal the Unconstitutional silencing of me, as a candidate, no matter the outcome!

Solomon: Is Trump Politically Immune to His Legal Woes?
This afternoon, after only a three-hour deliberation, a Manhattan jury delivered a verdict against former President Donald J. Trump in a civil lawsuit filed by E. Jean Carroll.
Trump was found liable on several charges, including sexual assault and defamation. He was found not liable for rape. The total of the awards in the case is just under $5 million.
While Trump is having a rough legal week, month and year, there is no evidence that any of the charges he may face will either disqualify him from running for the presidency or be an impassable obstacle to victory.
Trump’s journey to the White House was a controversial and surprising one that disrupted American politics.
He entered the political arena in 2015, tapping into populist frustrations and commanding attention through provocative statements and media dominance. Despite relentless attacks, he secured the Republican nomination and won the presidency in a bitter and divisive campaign against Hillary Clinton. Trump’s victory stunned the political world and left many wondering how he could have succeeded.
Whether that 2016 success can be rekindled eight years later is anything but a rhetorical question.
As David Gelman, a New Jersey criminal defense lawyer, told me, “Trump’s rise to the presidency was a perfect storm of factors that came together in a way that nobody could have predicted as a candidate promising to address people’s concerns and deliver real change. Whether his ongoing legal issues play a factor in his upcoming presidential run remains to be seen. It’s clear that today isn’t the end of this case — he will almost certainly appeal.”
Part of what propelled Trump to victory in 2016 was his seemingly innate ability to dominate the media narrative in a way that few candidates have ever been able to do.
Using his larger-than-life persona and controversial statements to stay in the headlines day after day, Trump’s candidacy was also helped by a deeply unpopular opponent in Clinton, who was seen by many as the embodiment of the political establishment that Trump was promising to upend. All of these factors combined to create a powerful wave of support for Trump that ultimately carried him to victory.
Ultimately, Trump’s legal woes are unlikely to get in the way of him successfully running for president in 2024. According to Article II of the Constitution, which lays out qualifications for the presidency, criminal accusations or convictions do not disqualify a candidate from running.
So while a criminal trial could have a dramatic effect on Trump’s presidential campaign and credibility, it won’t disqualify him.
Where we stand today is pretty much exactly where the former president wants things to be. Despite his legal issues, he continues to hold a substantial lead among Republican voters as their pick for the 2024 GOP nomination, and this week the news was better for Trump as polling revealed that he has a clear lead over President Joe Biden.
Things can quickly change where law and politics intersect, but the trends for Trump are strong, proving, at least for now, that he has a political resiliency that few would have predicted.

On social media, several Twitter posters explained why a close look is always necessary when a picture seems too good — or too bad — to be true.
Twitter poster Catturd suggested that a good fake gives everyone all of the usual body parts and keeps everything looking … well, human. He referred to the girl on the left of the frame, who has an arm span a WNBA all-star would envy, as well as the fact that Epstein ends where most people start growing legs.

After the 2019 arrest that put Epstein in the jail cell where he would later die, Trump said he may have been seen with Epstein socially, but they were not friends.
“I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you,” Trump said then, according to The Washington Post.
The two knew each other, but about 15 years ago, Trump broke ties with Epstein.
“The reason doesn’t make any difference, frankly,” Trump said, noting that he banned Epstein from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Dianne Feinstein Returns To D.C.
Senator Dianne Feinstein has reportedly returned to Washington on Tuesday, casting her vote in the Senate, after a three-month-long absence.
Feinstein’s press secretary, Adam Russell, confirmed the news.
In an interview on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) gave a statement regarding the veteran senator’s return.
“I’m glad that my friend Dianne is back in the Senate and ready to roll up her sleeves and get to work,” Schumer said. “After talking with her multiple times over the past few weeks, it’s clear she’s back where she wants to be and ready to deliver for California.”
This comes as the 89-year-old had been facing mounting pressure from fellow Democrats to get back to work soon or resign. House Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), have called on her to step down. They have cited the federal judiciary being harmed if she does not step down.
With the Democrats having a 51-49 majority in the Senate, her months long recovery and absence had delayed the party’s ability to get ahead, resulting in the inability to advance some of President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees without her presence.
Feinstein clapped back at her critics.
“There has been no slowdown,” Feinstein said.
The nomination of Julie Su as secretary of labor as well as several judicial appointments had been delayed due to Feinstein’s absence in the closely divided Senate.
In March, Feinstein was hospitalized for shingles, a painful viral rash. On March 7th, she said she was recovering at home and looked forward to returning to the Senate “as soon as possible.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) came to Feinstein’s defense in April following initial backlash for the 89-year-old’s absence.
“I don’t know what political agendas are at work that are going after Sen. Feinstein in that way,” Pelosi said. “I’ve never seen them go after a man who was sick in the Senate in that way.”
At the end of next year, Feinstein is set to retire.

Tucker Carlson Is Back, On A New Platform
Tucker Carlson has finally returned, but this time on Twitter. The beloved right-wing television personality said that he is relaunching his own show on the Elon Musk-owned social media network, in a video posted to his Twitter account on Tuesday.
A few days after the network settled its case with Dominion Voting Systems, Carlson was unceremoniously let go from his prime-time position at Fox News.
The mainstream media network was criticized for allegedly lying to the public by Carlson, who has worked for CNN, MSNBC, and Fox, in a three-minute video. Carlson warned the audience, saying “You are being manipulated.” According to the commentator, Twitter is not partisan.

“Amazingly, as of tonight, there aren’t many platforms left that allow free speech. The last big one remaining in the world, the only one, is Twitter, where we are now,” Carlson said in the video. “Twitter has long served as the place where our national conversation incubates and develops. Twitter is not a partisan site, everybody’s allowed here, and we think that’s a good thing.”
A request for comment from a Fox executive was not immediately answered.
To resolve Dominion’s defamation claim that the network and its hosts disseminated false information about the election, Fox had agreed to pay $787.5 million. Regarding the voting machine technology, Fox was being sued by Smartmatic USA.
Carlson had not spoken out about his leave from Fox News, but he did break his silence in a video broadcast on his Twitter page a few days after the network decided to part ways.
“When you take a little time off, you realize how unbelievably stupid the debates you see on television are, they’re completely irrelevant,” Carlson said during his April 26th video.
Since then, numerous media outlets have claimed that Carlson’s termination from Fox was allegedly caused by text messages he sent, recognized during the Dominion defamation case’s discovery phase.
Unredacted portions of the Dominion lawsuit’s evidence had recently surfaced in media news stories, which claimed that Carlson had been allegedly pressuring the network to provide him his very own platform. Carlson reportedly had conversations with Musk about his contract battle with Fox, which is expected to continue until 2025.
“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” Fox News said in a statement that aired on April 21st.
Fox’s prime-time ratings have greatly declined since Carlson left, but the network’s top advertisers have returned. Carlson’s show was one of the most top-rated cable TV segments. Nielsen ratings information showed that since Carlson left Fox, audiences have turned to much smaller networks to get their information.
During his last week on Fox, the popular commentator hosted Musk on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
Carlson questioned Musk about whether he felt Twitter could influence future elections the way that it did for Trump during the two-night conversation.
“I think it will play a significant role in elections, not just domestically but internationally,” Musk said.
