I wonder if people realize that this is the new way unless Trump breaks up these mega corporations.

 

They don't want to pay full price for taxpayer supported services such as postal rates, so they use influence. Not just lobbyists but such things as phony 'shareholder demands' or 'employee demands' such as they are doing right now...

threatening to remove services they provide to the government, in this case, it's facial recognition software that the LE depends on for its work.

 

Remember Amazon got a huge contract to provide the Cloud storage/services for gov't?

 

Yeah, well now they have gov't by the balls. They get together with their major shareholders (who are mostly other mega funds in their own rights) and these 'shareholders' demand that the government cripple itself.

 

It's a downward spiral.

 

I have to wonder if this SC decision to exempt Amazon was related to Amazon's Cloud services and the damage they could do if that became insecure or inaccessible?
