While it is true, a lot just want the paycheck…or the access to drugs, they dont last long. Most of them find if their hearts aren't in the job, it is impossible to do. We have a pretty good program with a consistent 96%, 1st attempt pass rate on the state board. I have zero tolerance for those students, they are easy to spot.
I do feel very fortunate to have left bedside nursing in October of 2019, I probably would have worked myself to death right alongside my patients. I probably would have caved and taken the vaccine.

The thing that amazed me the most was when the school policy was announced, get the vax according to CMMS policy, I must have been the only one who went to the site and read the policy and filled out the exemption form. I kept trying to tell everyone to read the policy, you understand English right? But they all lined up…we lost one vaxxed instructor to Covid that year. I lost both my MIL and my father, both vaxxed. After two years of wearing a mask my baseline oxygen sat. went from 99% down to 94%
