"and the reason a million tons of concrete were turned to extremely fine dust that an entire city was breathing – was – a fire on the 110th floor"

I'm still hoping to find a free copy of HRC's thesis on "the rights of children" which supposedly was an influential paper in the movement for children's rights.

I believe it will read like this:

children can make decisions based on their maturity rather than their age

age is not a deciding parameter

maturity of character is the standard

I'm wondering if this was influential around the time that juveniles began to be declared adults

I do know that it was published around the time that NAMBLA began their movement

if anyone has a link to a free copy of these paper

SEND IT AROUND PLEASE

BUSINESS NEWSNOVEMBER 29, 2017 / 4:22 PM / 7 MONTHS AGO

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Wednesday put on hold a $10 billion lawsuit against George Soros in which companies controlled by fellow billionaire Beny Steinmetz claimed his campaign of defamation cost them a lucrative iron ore deposit in Guinea.

While rejecting Soros’ request to dismiss the lawsuit, U.S. District Judge John Keenan in Manhattan said the hold should continue pending an arbitration between Steinmetz’s BSG Resources and the West African country of Guinea, which he said would likely resolve many underlying issues.

“We are pleased with the decision,” said Joseph Baio, a lawyer for Soros.

“We are pleased that the court did not dismiss the claims,” said Louis Solomon, a New York-

based lawyer for BSG. “We think the arbitration will strengthen our case here, and look forward to continuing the lawsuit.”

Soros, 87, is worth $8 billion and Steinmetz, 61, is worth $1.15 billion, Forbes magazine said on Wednesday.

BSG accused Soros and groups he helps fund of propagating “untrue” corruption allegations and paying Guinean officials to strip it of mining rights, causing it to lose its rights to the Simandou deposit in April 2014.

It said the Hungarian-born Soros had been driven by a grudge dating to 1998, when he “falsely concluded” that Steinmetz cost him a big business loss in Russia, as well as hostility toward Israel. Steinmetz is Israeli.

In Wednesday’s decision, Keenan said Soros established that the “same key issues” in the April 2017 lawsuit underlay BSG’s arbitration before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes in Paris, which began in August 2014.

Keenan said BSG would not suffer “undue hardship” by waiting for the arbitration to take its course, and that a resolution “will likely provide significant insight into, if not actually resolve” claims in the lawsuit, including fraud and defamation.

Steinmetz’s ability to travel has been restricted since last December, when he was put under house arrest for two weeks in connection with a probe into alleged bribery of senior public officials in Guinea.

BSG and Steinmetz have denied wrongdoing, and Steinmetz was released without charge. On Nov. 15, a court in Israel said Steinmetz could leave that country, but not travel to Africa and all but six countries in Europe.

The New York case is BSG Resources (Guinea) Ltd et al v Soros et al, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, No. 17-02726.

The more I think about this 2014 report, the more I wonder –

do they not immunize people from known diseases?

do they not have toilets where they come from?

how many coming over here have these COMMUNICABLE DISEASES??

This is a health crisis.

These people work in restaurants, handle food, cook food, clean facilities, pick our vegetables, handle our lettuce, make pizzas, —-

and if they die, no one knows

if they disappear, no one knows or can identify them

This is chaos. This is not civilized society.

Maybe this will give you an idea of what border agents and services are dealing with. Compare with the protocols of Ellis Island

Allegations in 2014 about conditions in facilities:

Some Violations

• Many UAC and family units require treatment for communicable diseases, including respiratory illnesses, tuberculosis, chicken pox and scabies.

• UAC and family unit illnesses and unfamiliarity with bathroom facilities resulted in

unsanitary conditions and exposure to human waste in some holding facilities. Contract cleaners and DHS employees are working to maintain sanitary conditions.

• DHS employees reported exposure to communicable diseases and becoming sick on duty.

• DHS is holding UAC longer than 72 hours because no permanent shelter is available.

Employee-to-UAC ratios are inconsistent. For example: one station had more than 25 UAC for each employee while other facilities ranged from zero to three UAC for each employee; not all facilities post copies of UAC policies in English and Spanish; and not all facilities are systematically maintaining an inventory of UAC property. According to the L.A. Times, there are currently more than 1,000 women and children remaining in the two family detention facilities—536 in Artesia and 532 in Karnes, Texas.

“Once medically cleared, residents who have a final order of removal and a valid travel document may be repatriated,” explained Leticia Zamarripa, a spokeswoman with the Department of Homeland Security.
