Been seeing a lot of talk about 16th amendment last few breads–even a post in notables about it.
Was it actually ratified tho? Seems pretty debatable–some argue that it was never legitimately ratified for a number of reasons.
Even if it was ratified, doesn't the term 'income' (as it's used in the constitution and supposedly as defined by the SC) only apply to corporate profit, and therefore not be applicable to wages?
When it comes to this point, I know a number of ppl have won in court against the IRS (which some say isn't even an actual gov agency) but others have been imprisoned over not paying their 'income' tax.
Any lawfags wanna give their $0.02?
