If you ignore the lefts extreme pandering towards minorities then yes certainly, but the way I see it if you champion minority causes you can oppress majorities whilst looking virtuous, rather than an oppressor. If it was up to the left today the only freedoms people would have is those that the left allowed them to have which is why they hate the Bill of Rights so much.
