Anon suspects much, much worse because it is hidden. Let's say you start to look at real estate listings on line. Would an algorithm "pre-screen" who gets to see what? Income level or more esoteric stuff like viewpoints, beliefs or demographics?
Remember the stores that couldn't keep up with price increases? So you can't trust the listing on the shelf? What if the corporation "knows" about you? Maybe YOUR price is higher.
Time for class action lawsuits not just over closing accounts and discriminating but collecting the dossiers on each person to use for discriminating and targeting. Try to think of t the implication for health care. What if you could take a teen's car and ram it into a pole in hopes you can get some usable organs for a rich big wig with similar genetics?
