The Knights Templar were financed by (St.)Bernard de Clairvaux–a Catholic. Montsegur is where the Albigensians(Cathars)made their last stand. Very tragic story. The Cathars were forced to wear yellow crosses–It was truly the first engineered genocide of a people. Several hundred years later, Hitler would require the Jews to wear yellow stars–matching the template of evil, the Cathars suffered.

He also dispatched Otto Wilhelm Rahn to the regions of Languedoc–Montsegur to be exact–to find the Holy Grail. It was believed that the Cathars possessed it. It was Esclarmonde de Foix, who legend says, became a dove, and flew east, taking the Grail with her. And legend also says that when the last Cathar died–they would return in 700 years for revenge. btw. The Cathars read the Gospel of John. St. John the first Theologian. It is also thought that they knew the secrets of the tribe of John the Baptist–

But that is another story for another day.

They were given away by a farm hand who showed the mercenaries the back entrance to the Castle and promptly then except for Esclarmonde d'Alion and a few others, driven down the long steep hill, where they were burned at the stake. Esclarmonde d'Alion escaped to the caves but was followed by mercenaries who stayed outside until no sign of fire or life within appeared to exist.

But the region is full of caves and perhaps, I like to believe, that Esclarmonde knew the way to higher ground, and moved onward to England.

The Ark? I don't recall I mentioned that. Esclarmonde de Foix did escape–with the Grail.

And yes. We agree. Not disagree. They fought valiantly until all secrets were…secure.
