"OSC, an independent federal investigative and prosecutorial agency, ruled that Rollins should be disciplined for her repeated abuse of her official authority as U.S. Attorney for political purposes in violation of the Hatch Act.

However, because Rollins announced that she will be resigning later this week, she will get off scot-free without any discipline from the feds."

In our current political environment

some people can do whatever damage they like to their political rivals without any chance of being brought up to trial.

try to remember that in compromised political districts the people are hardly ever put into office by a fair vote of the citizens. the people usally get their jobs by being appointed after someone else leaves a position for a more opportunistic position in a different office.

And so the district is a 'captive'.

sending all the new arrivals to such a place is further abuse of the captive population.

and the idea of it being a 'sanctuary' is decided by a small group of opportunists who profiteer off of the supposed social safety nets.

the moneys spent on the poor mostly go to the already very well off, and the 'social service' organizations that are just a facade for laundering the money into the pockets of the well connected to finance a lavish life style, summer homes, vacations and free travel to 'seminars', and other activities including drugs and prostitutes.
