I don't thinks its about votes or race or poor or white or black. I have black friends and white friends and brown friends but the ones I think about the most are my dead friends. I think about their families, their friends, their lives that were taken too young. I am willing to bet there is not one person in this country that feels any different than I do. Suppression is evil no matter the suppressed. We have to empower our men in this country to step up to the plate, to respect themselves, to respect and take responsibility of their children and their mother. A community is only as strong as the families that reside in it. The Ds have done nothing to promote the family. No respect, no incentive, no understanding, and no direction. How can anyone feel that they are important if that is the only life they have ever known? I have never lived on the street or been in the situation where I felt hopeless but that doesn't mean I am devoid of feeling the desperation for these families. I can only do so much here in my sleepy little Texas town. One thing I can do is to be honest and extend my assistance when appropriate. I am not a martyr and I don't have a lot of tact, but I am not heartless either. I do not think I am alone in this feeling. Kindness is not a struggle for me or my family but I will not condone the actions of a community that descends into a shithole because the residents have forgotten their humanity. Allowing people to stay in a constant state of victimhood does not encourage or promote healthy families.
