Biden Admin Funding Book on ‘Drag Queens, Trans Taxi Drivers, Cruising Gay Men, and Femme Witches’ By Drag Queen Who Writes LGBT Children’s Books

The Biden administration is now funding a book on “drag queens, trans taxi drivers, cruising gay men and femme witches” by a drag performer who writes LGTBQ books for children.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) awarded a $60,000 grant to Harris Kornstein, who performs in drag as Lil Miss Hot Mess.

Kornstein is the co-founder and board member of Drag Queen Story Hour and wrote the children’s books “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish” and “If You’re a Drag Queen and You Know It.”

The grant, which was awarded in January, is for a book about how drag queens “playfully dazzle both the human senses and computational sensors,” drawing on “case studies including drag queens, trans taxi drivers, cruising gay men and femme witches,” according to a report from Fox News.

The research program description says that the book will be focused on “Obfuscation, Play, and Other Queer Strategies for Countering Surveillance Capitalism.”

“This book project introduces a concept I entitle ‘digital enchantment’: a framework that explores how diverse queer and trans users subvert and expand traditional approaches of privacy by creatively exploiting the features of mainstream technologies and creating their own platforms,” the description reads.

“Prevailing counter-surveillance strategies uncritically celebrate visibility and representation while positioning privacy as an individual right rooted in concealing information,” it continues. “Drawing on San Francisco case studies including drag queens, trans taxi drivers, cruising gay men, and femme witches, I look to LGBTQ+ histories that complicate these assumptions. Digital enchantment describes the hyper-visible glamour, mischievousness, and mystical intuition that many queer/trans subjects employ to playfully dazzle both the human senses and computational sensors.”

The author argues that elaborate drag makeup can confuse facial recognition software.

Kornstein is an assistant professor at the University of Arizona.

"Deep Level Of Corruption": Gen. Flynn Condemns FBI Following Durham Report

"What people need to really stay focused on is this deep, deep level of corruption in our federal government, particularly starting in the White House," Flynn told NTD News' "Capitol Report" host Steve Lance.

Durham's report detailed corruption at the highest levels of the FBI to use a Clinton Campaign-funded propaganda dossier they knew was a hoax, in order to take down - and then smear, Donald Trump and his campaign.

The report concluded that "neither U.S. law enforcement nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion" between the Trump campaign and Russia. The report also notes that on Aug. 3, 2016, a White House meeting between former President Obama, then-VP Joe Biden, former AG Loretta Lynch, then-CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey - where Brennan briefed those in the room about Clinton's plan to undermine Trump by tying him to Russian election interference efforts.

In response to the Durham report, the FBI said that it had taken corrective action to address the issued raised.

Flynn says it's BS.

"They weren’t missteps, those were criminal acts by the highest levels of people in our FBI and other elements and other people inside of the Department of Justice," he told NTD News. "And today that problem is not fixed. Look at what we’re learning from the whistleblowers."

Flynn then pointed to the FBI's plan to infiltrate Catholic churches and other organizations in order to root out "radical-traditionalist Catholic" ideology, after a document was leaked from the FBI's Richmond Field Office describing the endeavor. The agency has since disavowed the record, saying that it "does not meet the exacting standards" of the bureau.

"This assault on Catholics, as an example—that’s just one example, the assault on Catholics and on the Latin Mass. I mean, that little thing alone that’s out of the Richmond office of the FBI, by the special agent in charge there," said Flynn. "These are not things that are minor things. These are big, big deals. That’s just one example, you know, in addition to the politicization and the weaponization of the FBI that’s being additionally brought out by these whistleblowers, and it’s still ongoing."

Flynn thinks both FBI Director Chris Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland are unfit to serve.

Monty Python pressured to drop gender transition skit

One of the iconic comedy troupe’s founders has distanced himself from its woke-friendly revival of ‘Life of Brian’

Beloved British comedy troupe Monty Python was pressured to do away with a skit from their classic film ‘Life of Brian’ that jokes about a man wanting to become a woman and have babies, co-founder John Cleese told an audience at his one-man show last week.

“We love the script, but you can’t do that stuff about Loretta nowadays,” performers conducting a read-through of the Biblical parody last year supposedly told Cleese, claiming the skit – in which the character Stan insists on being called ‘Loretta’ and declares “it’s every man’s right to have babies if he wants them” – would offend modern audiences.

“So here you have something there’s never been a complaint about in 40 years, that I’ve heard of, and now all of a sudden we can’t do it because it’ll offend people,” Cleese lamented. “What is one supposed to make of that?”

In the skit, Stan’s comrades in the People’s Front of Judea are split on whether to support ‘Loretta’s’ new identity, and the self-declared woman accuses his detractor of “oppressing” him.

“I’m not oppressing you, Stan, you haven’t got a womb! Where’s the fetus gonna gestate? You gonna keep it in a box?” his friend asks.

The lone female of the group, Judith, suggests a compromise. “Suppose you agree that he can’t actually have babies – not having a womb, which is nobody’s fault, not even the Romans’ – but that he can have the right to have babies.”

Stan’s friend Reg likes that idea, declaring it’s “symbolic of our struggle against oppression” – while the naysayer mutters it’s merely “symbolic of [Stan’s] struggle against reality.”

The film version of ‘Life of Brian’ was previously banned in some countries for its supposedly blasphemous subject matter, being a profoundly irreverent satire on the Biblical stories chronicling the life and times of the Christian messiah Jesus Christ.

The 2024 stage show adaptation, set to open next year in London, will reportedly excise the film’s crucifixion scene, in which the characters sing the incongruously catchy and upbeat tune ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life’ while the messiah character Brian is being executed.

Eric Idle, another founding member of Monty Python, clarified in a tweet on Friday that he was not involved in the stage show version after British Comedy Guide referred to “Cleese and Idle” having made changes to the original script.

Six arrested at Nebraska state capitol during a debate about abortion and transgenderism

Six people were arrested at the Nebraska state capitol on Friday as lawmakers debated and later passed a bill that bans abortions after 12 weeks and bans gender transition surgeries for people under 19, with few exceptions.

After the debate stopped around 2:40 p.m. on Friday, some arrests were made on the chamber balcony after someone allegedly threw what appeared to be a bloody tampon onto the legislative floor. The balconies were cleared for the remainder of the debate.

Nebraska State Patrol told Fox News Digital that two women were arrested for allegedly obstructing a government operation and disturbing the peace.

A man was arrested for resisting arrest and trespassing after officers said he didn't comply with orders when asked to leave the premises.

Social media videos show police clashing with other protesters outside the chamber. Many of them were chanting "Shame, shame!"

Nebraska GOP Gov. Jim Pillen plans to sign the bill into law.

More than 1000 women join class action over permanent contraceptive device

A class action is continuing in the Supreme Court of Victoria, after more than 1000 women claimed to have fallen victim to a permanent contraceptive device.

The Essure coil device, which was once hailed as a medical breakthrough, was placed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods in 1999.

In 2014, the reporting of adverse effects emerged and in a statement to A Current Affair, a Therapeutic Goods Administration spokesperson said "the TGA [had] received 114 reports associated with the Essure device," as of 13 April 2023.

"The reports have included adverse events such as changes in menstrual bleeding, unintended pregnancy, chronic pain, perforation, migration of the device and allergy/hypersensitivity or immune-type reactions."

In February 2018, Essure was removed from the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods.

Kylie Trounson is leading the team from Slater and Gordon as they take on pharmaceutical giant Bayer.

"It's a device that should never have been designed, it should never have been released, it should never have been put in a woman's body," Trounson said.

Bayer argues it is not liable for the adverse effects, instead blaming the medical practitioners who implanted the device.

"You can argue what you like about doctor's conduct," Trounson said

Zelensky entrance steals spotlight at G7 summit in Japan as leaders show united front against Russia and China’s ‘coercion’

Ukraine dominates the G7 agenda after President Zelensky made a dramatic entrance in Japan for diplomacy talks with leaders, who issued a warning to both Russia and China.

President Volodymyr Zelensky commanded attention as he arrived at the G7 summit in Hiroshima on Saturday to ramp up global support against Russia.

Mr Zelensky’s appearance was shrouded in secrecy but the surprise visit was warmly received as he touched down in a French plane loaned to him by close ally President Emmanuel Macron.

Dressed in his trademark military green hoodie, the Ukrainian leader rushed into a flurry of bilateral talks with Mr Macron, United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Mr Macron hailed Mr Zelensky’s arrival as a “game changer”, adding an urgency to discussions around Ukraine’s requests for tougher sanctions and advanced weaponry.

On landing, Zelensky said the summit would bring “enhanced cooperation for our victory”, and he declared that “peace will become closer today”.

A day earlier the G7 nations announced a string of further economic sanctions against Russia aimed at “tightening the screws” as they condemned Moscow’s actions “in the strongest possible terms”.

"We reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine for as long as it takes to bring a comprehensive, just and lasting peace," the G7 announced after Mr Zelensky arrived.

President Biden also used the summit to drop its objections to Western allies providing F16 fighter jets, with the military hardware requiring US permission to be resold or exported.

Mr Zelensky said it was a “historic decision” after lobbying for jets for 15 months and announced it would “greatly enhance our army in the sky”.

As the summit of traditionally seven advanced economies extended an invite to four other nations, including India and Australia, Mr Zelensky chose the moment to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The talks were of significance given India has ramped up imports of Russian oil, coal and gas since the outbreak of the war and refused to directly condemn the invasion of Ukraine.

The three-day meeting of world leaders also set its sights heavily on China, warning Beijing against “economic coercion” of nations in the Pacific.
