The English version of the Lord’s Prayer used in many Protestant churches replaces the lines:
“and forgive us our trespasses / as we forgive those who trespass against us” with:
and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
In Eastern Rite and Protestant churches, a doxology (a praise response) is added:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
forever.
