Rockefeller Foundation partners with WHO to tackle 'climate-aggravated' pandemics
"Broadening surveillance" is listed as one of the many goals the two organizations are looking to fulfill.
The World Health Organization and The Rockefeller Foundation have officially teamed up to address âpandemics fueled by climate change.â
The Rockefeller Foundation, which touts âscaling renewable energy for allâ as one of its core missions, announced the WHO partnership this week in a press release titled: âThe Rockefeller Foundation and World Health Organization Announce Partnership To Expand Global Pandemic Preparedness in Era of Climate Change.â
In the announcement, the nonprofit said the joint effort is focused on âstrengthen[ing] the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligenceâ by investing $5 million for, among other things, âbroadening surveillance for diseases worsened by rising temperatures and extreme weather.â
Both the WHO and The Rockefeller Foundation are well known for their progressive leanings on matters like green energy and climate change, with ties to left-wing billionaires such as George Soros and Bill Gates.
Writing in the press release, the WHOâs Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu said the Covid-19 outbreak âunderscored that disease surveillance, collaboration between stakeholders, and data sharing were absolutely essential ingredients for health security,â adding that the âglobal communityâ was not prepared for the pandemic.
Claiming âincreasing threatsâ are arising due to âclimate change,â Ihekweazu also touted that the two organizations will birth a ânew era of global collaboration in pandemic intelligence.â
The release goes on to detail that The Rockefeller Foundation will specifically support the WHOâs pandemic/epidemic department projects, such as:
Scaling global capacity for genomic surveillance through the newly launched International Pathogen Surveillance Network
âDeveloping a digital platformâ to further âcommunication and collaboration between public health analysts and researchersâ
âDeveloping user-centered product strategiesâ so the WHO can âbetter support global public health agenciesâ
âImproving outbreak detectionâ via Global.health

The Gateway Pundit previously reported in May that then Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, along with Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, filed a lawsuit (Missouri v. Biden) against the Biden Administration, including Biden himself, Anthony Fauci, the Department of Homeland Security, and nearly a dozen federal agencies and Secretaries. Schmitt has moved on to represent Missouri in the US Senate.
The suit alleges a massive coordinated effort by the Deep State (permanent administrative state) to work with Big Tech to censor and manipulate Americans â from average citizens to news outlets â on issues including the Hunter Biden Laptop from Hell, 2020 Election Integrity, COVID-19 origin and extent skepticism, COVID-19 vaccine skepticism, among other issues.
The Gateway Pundit reported back in August 2022, that TGPâs Jim Hoft himself became the lead non-governmental plaintiff in the lawsuit against the government.

Supreme Court rules in favor of 94-year-old woman who got nothing when county took her condo
WASHINGTON (AP) â A unanimous Supreme Court on Thursday gave a 94-year-old Minneapolis woman a new chance to recoup some money after the county kept the entire $40,000 when it sold her condominium over a small unpaid tax bill.
The justices ruled that Hennepin County, Minnesota violated the constitutional rights of the woman, Geraldine Tyler, by taking her property without paying âjust compensation.â
âThe County had the power to sell Tylerâs home to recover the unpaid property taxes. But it could not use the toehold of the tax debt to confiscate more property than was due,â Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the court.
Tyler, who now lives in an apartment building for older people, owed $2,300 in unpaid taxes, plus interest and penalties totalling $15,000, when the county took title to the one-bedroom apartment in 2015. The county said she did nothing to hold onto her one-time residence. The apartment sold the next year.
Minnesota is among roughly a dozen states and the District of Columbia that allow local jurisdictions to keep the excess money, according to the Pacific Legal Foundation, a not-for-profit public interest law firm focused on property rights that represented Tyler at the Supreme Court.
At least 8,950 homes were sold because of unpaid taxes and the former owners received little or nothing in those states between 2014 and 2021, according to Pacific Legal.

Chinese hackers spying on key US infrastructure â Microsoft
Experts claim âmitigatingâ Beijingâs surveillance could be âchallengingâ
A group of state-sponsored Chinese hackers have been conducting a sophisticated surveillance operation on key US infrastructure assets, tech giant Microsoft claimed on Wednesday, warning that similar practices could be happening elsewhere in the world.
In a statement, Microsoft claimed that the group â which has been dubbed âVolt Typhoonâ â has been surveilling US infrastructure organizations, including in the telecommunications and transportation sectors, since mid-2021. It has also, the tech company said, conducted operations to spy on United States facilities in Guam, where key US military assets are housed in the Pacific Ocean.
Microsoft said that âmitigating this attack could be challengingâ and that Beijing was making efforts to reduce Washingtonâs abilities to communicate with the âAsian region.â
The tech company also claimed to have assessed with âmoderate confidenceâ that this Volt Typhoon campaign was âpursuing the development of capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and the Asia region during future crises.â

Kremlin responds to Ukrainian threat to kill Putin
The Russian services protecting the head of state know their job well, the president's spokesman has said
Ukraineâs leadership has again demonstrated its âterroristâ nature by threatening to assassinate President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has said, while giving assurances that the Russian leader is well protected.
âA terrorist regime talks about its terrorist aspirations,â Peskov told the Rossiya 24 broadcaster on Thursday.
The spokesman was commenting on an acknowledgement by Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of Ukraineâs Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), who told the German outlet Die Welt on Wednesday that Putin was on his agencyâs kill list.
Peskov said such statements show that the military operation, launched by Russia in Ukraine in February 2022, was âmore than justified, more than necessary and that it must be completed.â
When asked if the Russian presidentâs security detail had been boosted after the threat from Kiev, Peskov replied: âTrust me, our security services know their job and know what they're doing.â

Kids could fill labor shortages, even in bars, if these lawmakers succeed
MADISON, Wis. (AP) â Lawmakers in several states are embracing legislation to let children work in more hazardous occupations, for more hours on school nights and in expanded roles, including serving alcohol in bars and restaurants as young as 14.
The efforts to significantly roll back labor rules are largely led by Republican lawmakers to address worker shortages and, in some cases, run afoul of federal regulations.
Child welfare advocates worry the measures represent a coordinated push to scale back hard-won protections for minors.

âThe consequences are potentially disastrous,â said Reid Maki, director of the Child Labor Coalition, which advocates against exploitative labor policies. âYou canât balance a perceived labor shortage on the backs of teen workers.â
Lawmakers proposed loosening child labor laws in at least 10 states over the past two years, according to a report published last month by the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute. Some bills became law, while others were withdrawn or vetoed.
